In response to the allegation we can't do football talk and a Argyle facebook post. Lets see if we can put together the best team of the Brent era, gotta be some good moments we can do the worst afterwards.
Said post
"FOURTEEN years ago today, we held a Centenary Ball to celebrate 100 years as a professional club.
The Argyle Team of the Century, as voted for by the club’s supporters, was the centrepiece of the occasion in Plymouth Guildhall.
The team, in modern day 4-4-2 formation, was: 1 Jim Furnell; 2 Gordon Nisbet, 5 Jack Chisholm, 6 Graham Coughlan, 3 Colin Sullivan; 7 Kevin Hodges, 4 Johnny Williams, 8 Ernie Machin, 11 Sammy Black/Garry Nelson; 9 Tommy Tynan, 10 Paul Mariner. Manager: Paul Sturrock"
heres mine loan players excluded i'd put forward 4-3-3 McCormick Threlkeld Nelson Bradley Bhasera Jervis Hourihane Carey Alessandra Taylor Reid
Manager Derek Adams

going slightly off topic, but they took the money from here to sponsor a player ? Bet that wouldn't happen now.

If we're excluding loanees then the best would be a 4-3-3
1. McCormick 2. Mellor 3. Sawyer 4. Fox 5. Bradley 6. Nelson 7. Ness 8. Sarcevic 9. Taylor 10. Carey 11. Lameiras
Hourihane, who impresses more and more the longer he is away, can count himself unlucky but would be in a 4-5-1
1. McCormick 2. Mellor 3. Sawyer 4. Fox 5. Bradley 6. Nelson 7. Lameiras 8. Sarcevic 9. Taylor 10. Carey 11. Hourihane

Does Brent qualify for an 'era'?
The Brent Austerity Years - certainly. A Decade of Asset Stripping - definately. The Brent non- achieving years - without doubt.
No, I can't talk football in the close season

Thought this old favourite was relevant in the great Summer football debate on here. LOL I've heard the squire has ordered a couple of books for his new friends.
