| From instagram. "It has been one of the best chapters of my life and a true pleasure and honour to play for, and captain Plymouth Argyle. I'm said that I'll never pull on an Argyle shirt again but extremely proud of the success we've achieved over the 15 years I've been at the club. The support I have received from day one has been far beyond anything I could have imagined, and for that I'll always be grateful. I look forward to coming back one day with my son, as a supporter, but for now I have to write the next part of my journey. Thanks for the memories @Only1Argyle you've been incredible! [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]" As yet... No word from the club. Good luck, Luke. |

Retirement? Or moving on to another club?
Either way, he’s been a great player for Argyle - whatever he does next, thank you and good luck, Luke. |

See with Super Luke and Romain at the club, you knew you was in safe hands when one was out injured or otherwise, In the climate we are in now , not to detract from the news you don't really have that . Unless Adams sees Letheran and Cooper as the next GK double act.... How long be for the Scum kick out some click bait about the news Lukes leaving/ possibly retiring. |

| Good luck to him, has been a great keeper over the years for us. Mistakes have crept into his game more in the last couple of seasons, and Remi Matthews has been a big improvement on Luke.
Hope he is allowed a good send off today. |

| The right decision for him and the club, would be great if we could sign Matthews up on a permanent contract. |

| Good luck to him, probably best decision for all concerned. Must confess to not being as sold on Matthews as others but 'tis a game of many different opinions, it'll be interesting to see who the long term custodian is. |

I know, but if Brent and co were serious about building a championship team then in my view Remi is the calibre of player Argo should try and attract. But then we on ATD know the reality. |

Matthews was outstanding early on in the loan. He has shown he’s human on a few occasions since though and there have been a couple of moments to raise a concerned eyebrow. He’d be a good permanent signing for league 1. But if the miracle were to happen and we went up, then we ought to be looking at keepers at the very least of the Remi standard, if not better. |

| I thought keepers improved with age look at Buffon Cech just to name 2 that are still playing at the top level..Ok Be silly to compare LMC at there level of coarse but still think his got a couple of seasons still in him at this level when fully fit but good luck to him for the future!

| cant bring myself to lap praise on him given what he was sent to prison for despite some fans best efforts to brush it off like it was an everyday thing degrading his victims by calling him super. but i also wont knock him either due to his service to the club.
he can live his life and earn money how ever he likes from now until the end of his days im just not partaking in any praise. |

| Fair play to the club for giving him a fresh start and he repaid that with some excellent performances. |

Played very well today-he does seem to be very good in one on one situations. Think he needs to become much more commanding on crosses but maybe I'm being a bit harsh on someone who is still a young and inexperienced keeper. |
