| Plymouth Argyle v Bristol Rover Man in the middle
John Brooks
He has shown 123 yellow cards and sent-off six players in 40 games This season he has referee the Argyle games against Charlton Athletic 2-0 and the 2-2 draw away to Blackpool Assisted by Christopher Wade and Adarn Tranter Fourth official Adam Mathews Bristol Rover NewsA win for Bristol Rovers would see them land just one point behind Argyle and within touching distance of the top six. Good news for Rovers fans is that their side have only lost to Plymouth once in the last eight meetings between the two with three wins to The Gas and four draws. FormBristol Rovers go into the game with just one win in their last four, with their most recent result taking the form of a disappointing home draw with Northampton Town. On Plymouth’s recent form, Rovers’ manager Clarke said: “They’re on a fantastic run. Derek Adams’ turnaround has been remarkable and he does it because he’s a very good manager. “He’s got a good, talented squad of players and they’re on a right high at the minute,” he added. However Clarke’s men have lost just two of the last 13 matches and have been on an upward curve throughout 2018. What’s the team newsFor Rovers, Clarke should have an almost fully fit squad to chose from. Dan Leadbitter has been out of action for over a month with a hamstring injury while midfielder Ollie Clarke has been missing since injuring his ankle in his defeat to AFC Wimbledon four weeks ago. Plymouth Argyle NewsThe Pilgrims are in fine form and currently sit in seventh place, just outside the play-offs, while Rovers are down in ninth following their 1-1 draw against Northampton Town last weekend. The contest is being billed as the biggest match of the season for Rovers, and perhaps for both sides. The game is drawing a big crowd with Bristol bring 1,593 fans ZAK Vyner He has been at Bristol City since he was nine years old and has never faced the Robins’ nearest and dearest. After just seven matches with Argyle, that is about to change. Small wonder that the 20-year-old centre-back, on loan at Home Park from City, is relishing Saturday’s visit of Bristol Rovers to the Theatre of Greens for the nearest thing to a Sky Bet League One Westcountry Derby this season. “As youth-team players, we never play against them,” he said. “It’s the first time. I’ve never played them in the Under-23s or anything. I’m looking forward to it. InjuriesNot very good new on the injuries front, Sonny Bradley (illness), Antoni Sarcevic (groin) and Jamie Ness (calf) have been joined on the casualty list by right-back Gary Miller and striker Simon Church. DA was quick to bring in a new player because of injuries. Paul Paton will bring a wealth of experience and a winning mentality to the Argyle midfield according to Derek Adams. Off field ARGYLE manager Derek Adams has paid tribute to departing Chief Executive Martyn Starnes. Starnes arrived with Argyle deep in financial trouble in 2013, and has been part of an off-the-field team that have helped turn Argyle’s fortunes around. This week Martyn announced his intention to leave Argyle, when the Pilgrims have been able to appoint a successor. Since Adams arrived in 2015 things have looked rosier for the Pilgrims and Adams thanked Starnes for playing his part. StatsThe Pilgrims have won one of their last eight league matches against Bristol Rovers The Gas have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last 15 league matches against Plymouth, Since the start of 2018, Plymouth (73%) have the highest win percentage of any League One side, winning eight of their 11 games. Bristol Rovers have won three of their last four away league matches as many as in their previous 19 matches on the road (W3 D3 L13). Prediction 2- 0 to Argyle

| Biggest crowd of season so far, a good day for Jimmy maybe £12 - 13 K more money into the unaccountable pot. Football wise don't feel confident of a home win , but fingers crossed. England v Ireland in the warm is a much more attractive prospect for me. A good day would be wins for England. Argo and the Gulls . COYG |

| Think the injuries and illness’s will work against us today, hope not but losing the heart of the midfield and Sonny has to affect us, really hope I’m wrong though and if we get a win today then I’ll start to think we’ve a real chance of achieving the play offs. |

| One of the rare games I'm looking forward to. All the pressure on Rovers to keep their season alive while our front 3 will be looking to end their mini drought. We've nothing to lose today. |

| Not going due to long standing dislike of the cold and the current regime. Hope the missing links don't affect the way Argyle have been playing of late. Let's not go back to the defensive wall of 10. |

| Have a feeling the injuries will bite us today and Rovers will capitalise. 1-2. Hope I'm wrong. |

| I watched the Gas at Gillingham a couple of seasons back, and I kid you not I walked into a pub bathroom near the ground for a tinkle, and some rotten Gashead was shitting in the sink. He had "Sammo" on the back of his shirt.
For that reason I think Argyle might struggle in the absence of Sarcevic, and we will lose 2-0. |

| Thirty minutes in and the radio Dem commentator just said "it's not clicking at all for Plymouth Argyle at the minute" Big crowd though innit - we usually feck up in front of a full house. |

| Adams needs to stem the pressure on Songo, Rovers far to quick for our back four, apart from Vyner who doing well. Daryl Clarke has got his tactics spot on, time for Derek to earn his money and make a positive change, otherwise we have no chance.
