Only1Argyle

ARGYLE are going back to the future for next season, with a special new 1886 Membership –named after the year that the original Argyle was formed – as just one of several original initiatives to help the Green Army enjoy their match-day experience with the Pilgrims.

Season-Tickets for 2018-19 go on sale on Tuesday, March 13 at 10am, offering a variety of new features for supporters in addition to the range of exclusive benefits that season-ticket holders have always enjoyed.

These include: entry to all 23 Sky Bet League matches; top-level ticketing priority; discounts on cup matches; 20% off match-day hospitality; and match-ticket offers for family and friends.

We are also removing the booking fee for season-ticket holders who need to move their seat when they buy additional tickets for family and friends, and re-introducing free entry to selected non first-team matches at Home Park.

An adult season-ticket for 2018-19 costs £375 at early-bird prices, which works out at more than £5 cheaperper game, every game, than our standard match-day prices for all 23 Sky Bet League matches.

There are similar savings to be made on concessionary prices for Over 65s, 18-21s, Serving Armed Forces and Wheelchair Users, who will pay £286 at early-bird prices.

Under 18s will be able to watch Argyle’s entire EFL programme for £96 at early-bird prices– that is exactly the same as the prices for this season.

There are also concessions for Over 65 and 18-21 Wheelchair Users (£232) and for Under 18 Wheelchair Users (£77).

A Family Ticket, for one adult and one under 18 year-old in the Family Zone for All, is just £441 at early-bird priceswith tickets for an additional under 18 year-old priced at £66 and an additional adult at £375.

Argyle chairman James Brent said: “Next season is a pivotal one for Argyle, with work accelerating on the exciting redevelopment of the Mayflower Grandstandand ‎the creation of a new conferencing and banqueting centre at Home Park.

“We looked at all possible options to try to find a way for season-ticket holders to remain on the Grandstand side of Home Park while we build the new Mayflower. Despite our best endeavours, though, the Grandstand and the Mayflower seating will be closed for the whole of next season before opening for the 2019-20 campaign with a range of fantastic new facilities for fans.‎

“We have already helped nearly all current Grandstand season-ticket holders find a new, temporary, seat in the Devonport or Lyndhurst stands for next season, which is good.

“However, the overall capacity at Home Park will be temporarily reduced in 2018-19 to a level lower than our likely average attendance this season. So it seems that, regrettably, there will be matches next season when the only way to guarantee a seat is by owning a season-ticket.”

Owning a season-ticket is also the easiest and cheapest way to follow the Greens, but the club understands that it is not for everyone and so has introduced other options.

There is a new Flexi-Ticket or, rather, Flexi-Tickets. Similar to the White Memberships of previous seasons, this allows the Green Army to buy a six-game or eight-game package and choose which matches they want to watch.

Additional benefits for supporterschoosing this option include second-level ticketing priority and there will no longer be redemption fees when ordering the match-day ticket.

Supporters who do not want to commit to a season-ticket or Flexi-Ticket but who would like to show their Argyle allegiance and receive some exclusive benefits will be interested in ‘The 1886 Membership’, an exciting new concept for 2018-19.

Adult non season-ticket holders can become an 1886 Member for just £35. They will then be entitled to a variety of benefits, including: discounted prices on home games; third-level ticketing priority on home and cup games; second-level away ticketing priority; exclusive monthly draws; and a monthly 1886 Membership newsletter.

Season-ticket and Flexi-Ticket holders can add the 1886 Membership package for only £20 extra and will receive additional Membership benefits including, like 1886 Members: ticket exchange on sold-out fixtures;a collectible argyle pen; a fixture-list poster; and a signed letter from manager Derek Adams.

There is a Junior 1886 Membership, too, especially tailored for the future generations of the Green Army. For an additional £10, they will be entitled to a host of added extras, including:a birthday card and birthday discounts; an Argyle pen; an Argyle autograph book; and a monthly Junior Membership newsletter.

For fans who simply want to keep in touch with everything that is happening Home Park, there is a free 1886 Membership; by signing up, they will receive regular news and updates from the Theatre of Greens.

Perhaps he could cut the capacity to 8000 and charge £600 for a season ticket. The Hard Rock Cafe approach to marketing. lol!
There will be some unhappy campers.
