| Taken from Tony Hooper on freechat Facebook page Meeting in the GT TNT just finished, the followed no are notes, not necessarily a definitive account. There were approximtately 100!people in attendance. the 2 storey premises will house approximately 300 people upstairs fr Fan Fests and 200 downstairs.. Both bars will be membership only. Build should start in March and be completed by August 2018. the lease almost sorted along with the legal pack. The GTs will change from a limited company to a Cooperative Society, a mutual. enough money and promises of work have been raised to start work but would still like to raise a further £300+ thousand. there will be a 5 year lease initially and at the end of that time span, repayment of investment will be made. Interest will be 5%pa. the Club will underwrite the loans in case repayment falls short. Emphasised this is PAFC not any on e director. all details will be on the GTs website, [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] where all details and plans will be available when ready. the Club have given an assurance the building will always be a supporters bar. in the first 18 months, the club will use one floor for hospitality and pay a commercial fee for use. investors in the project will automatically become members of the Supporters Bar. Gary emphasised his main aim is s for there always to Be a supporters bar in n the building. hope you can make sense of this will try to answer questions when I GE he me, about 12.30am |

| Utter bollox (not aimed at you, John) the supporters bar should have been a large single story building with a capacity of at least 800-1000, decent stage for live music, multi sports Tv coverage, with cheap beer, semi-naked women and decent food. Ok, Ok, just joshing about semi naked women. Stairs and alcohol! Ummm (rubs chin). |

| Membership only is pretty naff and limits possible profit.
Most other clubs have a bar open to all at each match. |

| And 'the club' will pay back the money after 5 years at 5% interest. So that's from income/fans . Less money still on the playing budget.............but nevermind, it will increase shareholder value lol |

To pay for the shortfall in the development? Surely not. |

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] You could build that for two hundred grand tops, plus the same to fit it out, allow another hundred grand for bits and bobs whats the other five hundred grand for ? |

| So, at the end of this new far post club thing, the club will be billed with yet another 500K to 900K debt, depending on how things go. That's added to the £4 million loan, £1 million for the roof, and currently a million shortfall on the revamp rumoured ? That sounds like £6.5 to 7 million and counting, ignoring the other £1 million shareholding for Hallet, and that certainly isn't a gift. Rather different than the headlines. Still, with a rather large difference between the purchase price of Home Park and the current book value, the club's balance sheet can take the new debt overhang LOL, although quite different from the "free new grandstand" that was understood to be part of the whole deal.
As to the Far Post itself, the principle of a members only club is a good one. It's what the Far Post always was, and it's slap bang in the middle of a park. Hardly the setting for a "public house". |

| Oops, there you are again LOL I think you'll find even Plymouth Council don't want to introduce pubs into Central Park. And for good reason. It's called planning and regard for a functioning community with a care for existing resources. Historic coaching houses on Dartmoor have nothing to do with new sports pubs in a municipal city park, and you know it. Get real. Plymouth pubs are disappearing quicker than Donald Trump's aides. PP will be along in a minute and do his dustpan and brush thing. |

| In this thread Pat, we are just debating the rights and wrongs of what sort of alcohol licence should be allowed in Central Park. I see no problem with that. It's an important subject. Some once a fortnight football fans would probably want a pub in every rosebed on match day, the much larger number of of other park users and city residents throughout the year, will want no increase in alcohol consumption in the park at all.
