| Another win, up to eighth - three pts off playoffs. Well done D.A and the players despite the lack of investment. |

| Not sure where to start with this but a quite unbelievable game, craziest I’ve seen in years.
Six goals. Three more disallowed. Both hit woodwork. Saved pen. Arch villain (Lyle Taylor) made to look a proper Cnut by Lameiras mocking him after scoring. The roar when Taylor missed his hat trick penalty was louder than any of the goals.
This game will be talked about for years to come. Sky highlights would need to be about 10 minutes long to catch all the incidents.

| Thrills and spills all the way, six goals, disallowed goals, missed penalty, woodwork struck-would have made a fantastic TV match for neutrals. Too much happened to detail it all, suffice to say that Wimbledon were very dangerous and made much use of the long ball over the top thus exploiting the main weakness of this Argyle team which is lack of pace on the turn-poor Sawyer had a particular mare tonight. Argyle were equally dangerous however and made more of their chances than Wimbledon amidst some excellent approach play. Cracking drive from Fox for the second goal and a cool finish from Lameiras were the highlights of the highlights, the idiotic celebration of Taylor [the talented Wimbledon version] in front of the Devonport end after scoring did his team no favours-it galvanised the crowd into angered backing of Argyle and he was mercilessly baited for the rest of the evening, climaxing [as it were] in his missed penalty. Stupid boy. Anyway fook him, it was Argyle's night and broke the hoodoo against Wimbledon since their return to the FL and now only 3 points off the play offs. Still can't believe it but long may it continue, fantastic stuff. |

| Strange game but very entertaining. Could have been 7 for us aqnd 4 to them had 4 goals not been ruled offside and the dick taylor scored his pen. We started to slack in the second half but thankfully we woke up and restored our 2 goal lead. fox scored a great goal worth seeing, reuben was my man of the match he should have really made it 5 for us.
great win and we are flirting even more with the playoffs although i dont think we wull do it mind but we can still push for it and set us up nicely for next season. |

Not long home. Saltash tunnel closed and roadworks near Trerulefoot and in Truro. Your report sums it up perfectly. Their 'Taylor' was a bit of a dick but he was very fast and it would be interesting playing him alongside our Taylor. A nitty gritty win but 3 points! |

| Nothing to add really to the above comments from Czar, Skinny and Angry, but how refreshing it is to see goals coming from so many different players and what a difference that makes to a teams potency. 3 months ago we looked dead and buried and now we look like we'll be playing champions league football in 3 years time. Who'da thunk it. |

I don't think they will make the Play-Offs either, but if they managed to somehow pull it off that would be the turnaround of the season, considering where they were in December and the "not so good" January transfer window. DA has worked wonders since December and credit where credit is due, the same can be said of this team. Next season is a long way off and the team for that will be different from this current one i'd hazzard a guess. Let us enjoy the moment and savior a transformed Argyle.

Think you had to be there, the radio Dem commentary as usual didn't reflect the action they don't get very excited, annoying cause I considered going but thought Wimbledon would be a boring game. |

| That was undoubtably the toughest win since the "revival" started. A game we would probably have lost for the last 7 years.
I can't help thinking, every time I look at the table, of the two last minute equalisers at Rotherham and Blackpool, and what could have been. And that's where Rotherham sparked their "revival".

| Quite how we've gone from being a shot shy, 10 mean behind the ball obdurate bunch of biters and scratchers to a free-flowing, attack minded we're-gonna-score-one-more-than-you team is both quite beyond me and a wonderful thing to behold.
At one stage last night we attacked down the left, slung a cross towards the back stick where Threlkeld was steaming forward in an attempt to get on the end of it (and nearly crocked himself on the goalpost as he did so). Would Miller have been within half a pitch of it when he was playing right back? I think not.
But that must be the difference... Not just Threlkeld but Sawyer too are playing miles further forward when we are in possession.
That does make us vulnerable on the flanks and Wimbledon played several balls into the vacant full back areas where their Taylor ran riot on several occasions.
Have to say all 3 disallowed goals looked alright to me. I suppose our two might have been offside and the ball must have gone out of play for theirs because I can't think of any other reason for it not to count.
Above all it was just a proper splendid game of football with both teams going for it and not a bad tackle to be seen throughout. One of those matches that reminds you why you put up with all the dross. |

| Great to hear so much positivity from the people at the game. It does seem one of those 'moments in time' you get as a football fan. I genuinely can't wait for the game on Saturday, as opposed to just looking forward to getting out of the house and having a few pre-match beers, unfettered.
Argyle are in a good position - there is no way they're going down and have nothing to lose by going after a top 6 place, all with momentum behind them. The Wigan defeat could have started a slide but what a reaction to that.
Wheels could very well come off any time, starting at Oxford, but it sounds like this version of the side just get angry at letting a goal in and come back harder at the opposition. Bring it on. |

| Adams has seen the light at last and discovered there's two ends to a football pitch. As long as Taylor, Lameiras and Carey stay fit, there is no reason whatsoever why the play offs can't be achieved. I have never known such a turn around bar perhaps a Crystal Palace charge from the bottom one season. Might have been Dowie as manager. We were talking to a bunch of overnight Wombles fans in Bread and Roses last night. They couldn't believe Argyle were largely the same bunch who played out the first encounter between "two poor teams". They were impressed. |

We were talking to a bunch of overnight Wombles fans in Bread and Roses last night. They couldn't believe Argyle were largely the same bunch who played out the first encounter between "two poor teams". They were impressed. You've certainly changed your opinion of Taylor-seem to remember that you were rather less than complementary about him at one time- so due credit for that, but I still don't think you realise just how important the man has been to the Argyle transformation. Bradley was talking in the press the other day about how Argyle now look to actually hit a target which is capable of holding the ball up and bringing other people into play, thus enabling players like Carey,Sarcevic and Lameiras to get forward and join the attack, rather than tending to hit over the top to utilise the pace of Jervis [nothing against JJ, he is what he is and i'd still like to see him on the books]. Lameiras would not have thrived in a team playing in that style and that was almost certainly the reason why he seldom made the starting line up in pre Taylor days. The return of Taylor and the boost given by Tounami [apparently not having a great time at Fleetwood] with the subsequent gain in belief of the team as a whole were far more important factors than any Damascus moment on Adams part. |

| We had Lyle Taylor to thank though for kickstarting the atmosphere. It was nothing like the Blackburn game....until he equalised and decided to stand and goad first the Demport, then the Lyndhurst. It was bedlam from that point on. Cheers Lyle.
Remi saving his hat trick penalty was one of those moments that will live long in the memory. I think I may have said earlier, but the roar from that save was more than for any of the goals. Priceless. The scenes at the end were reminiscent of an end of season promotion too with the players almost doing a lap of honour.
Good times. |
