| MOTHERWELL are set to give Nadir Ciftci’s career a life-line. Nadir done Motherwell look set to take Celtic striker Nadir Ciftci on loan after Plymouth Argyle loan spell is cancelled The Turkish-born striker failed to make an impact with the English League 1 side and looks set to replace the outgoing Louis Moult at Fir Park The Celtic striker’s loan agreement with English League 1 side Plymouth Argyle was cancelled which will give the Steelmen the opportunity to take the Turkish-born player on loan until the end of the season. Last summer Argyle’s boss and former Ross County gaffer Derek Adams took Ciftci in on a season-long loan deal but he has made just six starts and two substitute appearances without finding the net. Adams was advised last week that Ciftci’s agent was ‘on the case’ in terms of finding him a new loan club and Plymouth have now agreed to cancel the loan deal with Fir Park now expected to be the player’s next temporary home. Motherwell are looking for fire-power to replace top goalscorer Lewis Moult who has joined Preston North End during the January window. And Ciftci will fight it out with new recruit Curtis Main from Portsmouth for a starting jersey. The 25-year-old Turkish born player joined Celtic in July 2015 on a four year deal after an impressive spell at Dundee United. After failing to establish himself in the Parkhead squad under Ronny Deila the forward has been loaned out to Eskişehirspor in Turkey in January 2016 and Polish side Pogoń Szczecin in January 2017 [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Truly awful player. One good spell and failed everywhere else. Get him out and get someone who’ll genuinely push Taylor for the striking role. |

| Saw him at Coach Road close up for one of the reserve games, clearly lacking in confidence, but also clear he has issues - it looked obvious he did not want to be there, wouldn't want to be either his manager or agent. A big mistake on Adams part driven by Brents austerity budget. |

A big mistake on Adams part driven by Brents austerity budget. His career has gone to shit since signing for Celtic. Maybe Motherwell will give him the set up in a dogshit league that he needs to start scoring goals like he did at Dundee United. |

| Motherwell are trying to conclude a loan deal for Celtic striker Nadir Ciftci until the end of the season, Sky sources understands.
Ciftci was on loan at Plymouth Argyle until recently, but that agreement has been cancelled, allowing him to head to Fir Park.
The Turkish player is understood to have flown to Tenerife on Tuesday ahead of the Motherwell squad, who later headed there for their winter break training camp. |

CELTIC forward Nadir Ciftci's spell at Home Park is over following the cancellation of his loan deal.
Turkish striker Nadir arrived at Home Park from Celtic Park at the end of August and played eight times for Argyle while on loan.
We thank Nadir for his contribution to the Pilgrims' cause and wish him every success for his future career.

| Article in the Brent gutter rag today telling us how happy Shiftkey is now that he's at Motherwell, apparently it feels the right place for him he can tell apparently. Complete with a picture of a beaming player holding his new shirt. Will be interesting following Motherwells results from now on to see how long it takes him to get on the score sheet (if he does). |

| There was a good player in him just didnt fit Adams style (as it turned out) despite Derek saying he had been trailing him for 2 years. Would have loved to see him in a two pronged attack alongside Taylor |

| Shiftkey played in his debut for Motherwell on Saturday against Hamilton in the Scottish cup, unsurprisingly didn't score and was subbed in the 66th minute. Interestingly Motherwell had two other ex Argyle players in their side on Saturday in Carl Mc Hugh and Craig Tanner who scored. |

| Subbed at 55mins by Craig Tanner in 1 -1 draw with Hearts. Getting subbed earlier in each game, a couple more games he will be subbed in the first half. |
