| Two things from the thread on the farm. Clive Toms (HC Green) is obviously a sleeper on here and Free Chat, reporting back to his Lord and master. And the pre-fab ticket office and club shop idea came from the King Troll, put onto the GAGWG for his extensive knowledge of office building over the years. You really couldn't make it up. |

| With modular construction supposedly being so popular these days, i wonder if the two bankers live in portacabins in their repective neck of the woods. If anyone wants a clue as to what might happen on the land later, just clock where the portable modular buildings are going, the two corners. It couldn't be more obvious.

| Cant imagine any prospective new owner with any kind of positive ambition for the club will be remotely interested when the bankers have secured the land surrounding the stadium.
Spose we'll be stuck with Brent for a while yet. At least 'eeeeee saaaaved uzzz I spose. |

| Too true, any potential buyers are best off up.sticks and moving the stadium out of town, Marsh Mills or airport site anyone?? Imagine what that would do to Brent's development if his sole crowd puller upped sticks and moved? |

This has got to be the biggest piss-taking penny pinch Brent has ever consented to.
Copper-turned Club Secretary-turned Head of Operations-turned Grandstand re-build Project Manager!
I mean, what the actual fack is going on here!?
If you're building a house or even an extension, Project Managing it yourself as an amateur will undoubtedly be cheaper, but it is still a big headache pulling everything in together in sequence.
These construction firms will have Project Managers of course. It sounds almost unbelievable but you can actually picture Brent trying to knock them down in price saying "oh it's ok our man Jon will project manage it all....he used to be a policeman, you know". Back, the Project Manager, the Cornishman Jimmy's Construction advisor, Non Event the Sheds r us Builders, Nothing about this Mankover looks gash and village! |

| So it's obvious now why Illogan Ian was on duty whilst on holiday he knew that his Lord and Master, all hail HIM for HE saved us, was about to let off another damp squib disguised as an air bomb repeater. |

| The Jimmy Jizzers are comedy gold on Illoganoti, if a Fookin Wendy House was erected by Non Event, as a replacement for the club shop they would still be sending out for extra tissues. If its not a proper masonry construction that will stand the test of time its a Shed ffs. |

| Old Dunlop one of Brentys boys must have been hacked on the farm
"With the modern materials available today it would be better and more cost effective to have a complete rebuild of the grandstand instead of a refurbishment"
Nool yet to take the laid bait

- The preferred contractors GL Events Ltd are experienced in stadium construction

They have recently built grandstands at Worcester Warriors and Watford as well as the current Grandstand construction at Exeter City. Their track record is highlighted on their website.
The proposed Club shop and ticket office are to be off-site construction. That does not mean they are temporary buildings. Off-site construction is a familiar construction solution, particularly if timescales are tight.
The club statement makes no mention of the commencement of construction for the new changing rooms nor the commencement of the supporters bar to be built by the GTs. Nor does it mention the commencement of the main grandstand redevelopment which is clearly now a separate contract. Have GL Events been given the contract for the Grandstand refurb? If not do you know if that has been sorted out yet? |
