Oxford News Oxford United head for Plymouth on Saturday with boss Pep Clotet looking for his side to get back to winning ways. Defeat at home to Northampton last week means that United are three points outside the play-off places as they head for Home Park. “We need to bounce back and get the three points on Saturday” Pep told iFollow this morning. “We are not happy to lose the game last Saturday but we have watched the game back with the players and we did much better than what we got. But unfortunately that’s the nature of this league. You never stop trying to improve but you have to keep in mind the points you have and how many you want at the end. Now we go to Plymouth, a good competitive game trying to get some points. “Plymouth have done well in the last few games and have slowly adapted to the league but a very good result at Bradford should give them confidence and that will add to what should be a good game.” OXFORD TEAM NEWSUnited will be without Curtis Nelson and Robbie Hall after the pair were ruled out with long term injuries. Nelson will miss the rest of the season after rupturing his Achilles while Hall will be out of action for three months with a knee problem. John Mousinho, who captained Burton to the Champiosnhip, takes over the captain's armband from Nelson while Aaron Martin is likely to start alongside him. Mike Williamson, another potential replacement for Nelson, is expected to resume training next week after injury with Charlie Raglan close to full training again after missing the whole of the season so far. Sam Long is making good progress while Gino van Kessel is expected to train next week and Agon Mehmeti is also close to a return. Christian Ribeiro misses out with a knee problem so Dwight Tiendalli and Canice Carroll compete for the right back role while Malachi Napa may be involved after being recalled from his loan at Hampton and Richmond to provide cover for Hall. Oxford United's Josh Ashby and James Roberts feature for Torquay United we are weighing up whether to send midfielder Josh Ashby and striker James Roberts out on loan in the near future. Both players featured in a behind closed doors friendly for Vanarama National League side Torquay United this week. We have initially been allocated 830 tickets for this game, in the Barn Park Stand. | More cars in Centre Park on Saturday as there is a big swimming gala going on from 0830 to early evening at The Life Centre. Christmas shopping in full swing, so the park and ride will be busy from early in the morning. |

Just as well Plymouth has a park and ride at Central Park isn't it ?. Most sensible cities have these schemes as an intrinsic part of their transport plan.

To mark Armed Service Day at Home Park today, we’ve produced a special 88-page edition of the Pilgrim match-day programme - still for the same high-value £3 [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Yes I'm off to the Cavern in Exeter tonight and a few ciders around the town, the £23 I won't be donating to the shysters pension pot will finance my evening, cheers Jimmy. Would have thought there is a reasonable chance we will get something out of the game today. COYG

Have obvs only seen highlights this season but it has looked to me that too often in defensive situations, our players look off the pace and ponderous. Might explain why DA has to set up so deep.
