Our away form over the season is now firmly mid-table and play-off places in the last month. Time to win some home games.

One win at home all season is pathetic in all honesty, without an instant turnaround argo are going down no question, for me the club was relegated back in the summer by Brents budge, but we will see.

With all that family day experience atmosphere to feed off the team have no excuses to not perform at the Brentigrad.

We are still in the mire.

Not being bottom of the league is a huge fillip to everybody but we are still in a league position that will see us resoundingly relegated if it stays that way.

We are still 3 places and 4 points (given our goal difference) away from being 5th from bottom. We still need points from every game because that 5th from bottom place (currently Rochdale who have a game in hand) is likely to gain points as we go along. We are on a good run, unbeaten in 6, but all runs come to an end...

It's going to a be along hard slog to get away from where we are unless we start stringing some wins together and we're probably going to need to start scoring more than once in a game to get it done.

Yes it is far better than it was 7 games ago; no it still isn't anything like good enough.

Four teams go down. Still think brent's Austerity Akkeron Argo will be one of them. If DA does pull off the miracle of miracles and keeps this team in L1 despite brent it will be a bigger achievement than last season.

BRENT OUT NOW

I think our piss poor start will be hard to get away from, our nine game losing streak is pretty well 20% of our seasons games with nil point gained, unless four other teams do the same we have a mountain to climb, best I'm hoping for is just missing the drop now.

Argyle need to hang on until January and bring in the necessary reinforcements to boost the quality to propel themselves away from the relegation zone. Surely the signing of Toumani, a player of obvious quality with a decent recent pedigree, has caused the penny to drop in higher circles that you simply cannot get by using players of dubious quality and recent history? It will be interesting and telling to see the response from the powers that be. It is certainly a source of encouragement that the team has stopped leaking goals so badly and is managing to keep 11 players on the pitch for the duration of matches, something to build on anyway-maybe players have come to terms with the inevitable extra pace and quality of the division. More goals needed though and not just from strikers or midfielders-the odd contribution from defenders at set pieces, when the delivery from Carey will almost inevitably be good, would be very welcome.

Took the words out of my mouth Skinny.

There are four crucial factors that have made a huge impact when u compare the last 6 or 7 games with what went before.

1) 11 v 11 instead of 11 v 10.
2) Remi Matthews. Light years above anything on our books keeper-wise, LM included.
3) Toumani Diagouraga. See above, but outfield ( Carey excepted )
4) Carey’s spectacular return to form.

I’m actually quite confident if we can keep at least two or preferably three of the above factors active, we’ll be out of the bottom four by Xmas. jocolor

Can't argue with any that Czarky and Skinny what I can't see in a million years is us strengthening in January, I would put money on the fact we would be more likely to sell Carey than bring in a player of Careys quality. I don't think Carey will go in Jan but no way will Jimmy shell out on feck all other than pipe dreams and plans.

There's as many knee jerks on this forum as there are on pasoti.
We've scored, oh we're safe, we've scored again, we're going up. Damn, we've just let one in, we're doomed. Three wins out of how many ? The recent "run of form" is just as likely to be a turn in fortune, and nothing else. Steve Davey had it right, you have to win as many as you can when the tide is in your favour, as it soon changes again and nothing goes right.

One mans knee jerk is another mans qualified opinion readjusted after gaining new or more information to make that decision, then there are plain jerks.

The sun rises every day in Winter as surely as the Summer. Today was a lovely day for instance. I see the Todd and Brent years as a continuing nuclear Winter, based on the evidence of course. I don't see any cause for whooping and a hollering, and it all being over by Christmas, in fact, the land could be poisoned further yet.
