Hi I am a Wigan fan and will be coming to the game on January 20th I will be staying in Torquay over the week end, on a coach tour. Is there a Special bus that runs from Torquay to the Plymouth games? If not, which is the quickest and easiest way to get from Torquay to Home Park. Thanks.

Don't think they run special buses to the match from there but there will be normal bus and train services from Turkey to the Muff. Enjoy your weekend in the bingo capital of the World.

Hello Bomber and welcome, train from Torquay takes an hour bus about double that. If you haven't been to Plymouth before the Barbican is worth a visit, real ale pub The Dolphin is cool or student bars and another great ale pub on Mutley Plain the Fortesque is good. City centre has usual spoons sports bars ect. You can walk to Home Park from city centre in twenty minutes or so or catch a bus, Mutley is about 15 minute walk from ground. You may get a car share with someone traveling from Torquay on the day. Favourite pastimes in Torquay are sitting in wheelchairs admiring the sea or taking heroin, have a great stay.

Dead easy mate, get train from either Torquay or Torre stations depending on where you staying in Torquay change at Newton Abbot for Plymouth and then 20 min walk from station up through Central Park, just follow the others. Or a five minute bus ride to Milehouse from outside the station and then five minute walk to ground. At Milehouse there is the Britannia Wetherspoons where the away and home fans mingle. Hope that's helpful. |

Thanks for the replies. I've been to Plymouth a couple of times whilst on various holidays, but only once , about 30 years ago, to Home Park for a midweek game. Maybe someone who travels by car to the games from Torquay will see this post, and if they want some company, and I'll pay the petrol cost, I'd be grateful. If not, Train looks the best bet, as I don't want to miss the Evening meal at the Hotel Chapeau to all the 300+ Plymouth fans who came up to the D.W earlier this season. its a hell of a trip in one day. I know, I've done it. !
