| Newell lives in Plympton doesn't he? That isn't even truly Plymouth it's an outlying district so what right does he have to support the development? It won't affect him in the slightest. |

| What does it take for folks like Isondil to understand the difference in turnover and profit. Judging by Mr Brent's own record in the hotel sector, it's a tricky old business - even after managing to download the majority of his loss-making sites and being left with a couple of prestigious ones, he's making a loss. And the repayments on the loan to Mr Hallett is something many seem to be ignoring. |

Yeah, cos it isn't possible for people to have principles, is it? Like the kind of principles that say it's wrong to try to put a four storey office block in a park. Or that object to the notion of a four (or rather five, since it seems to have grown in the latest amendments to the planning application) storey hotel on the fringe of a park. Not to mention the kind of principles that say any attempt to take over an important public amenity (like, say, a park and ride carpark) for commercial gain is totally out of order. And by the way, the main reason why there haven't been more objections can be found in the deliberate mis-selling of the plans and the way in which their true extent has been ignored and concealed. |

The Hallet loan is going to be a Millstone around the clubs neck for the next thirty years, it may well be a nice little earner for Community Si, but all the club will end up with is a half arsed Mankover. |

He won't build a thing. It's all about getting planning permission granted so he can then seperate HHP from Argyle, and then sell the HHP portion to the new owner of the pavillions for a huge profit. |

If the club is ever sold in the hopefully not too distant future the first thing a new owner(s) does is give community si back his loan ASAP. |

| Community Si has probably got some sort of non early redemption clause or something. The idea is to have a nice safe return lending to a separate legal entity just about controlled by oneself in effect, yet complying with certain beneficial inheritance rules. That's my take on it anyway, and has been from day one, when he clearly stated for specific reason that he doesn't expect his money back. Just how do people think investment experts like Hallett pass on their cash to their family when they're getting on a bit ? Give it all to the government of whichever country they're domiciled ? Get real everyone. Brent's cover story is that the loan will replace the rent that Argyle were paying to the council, so no milk spilt. LOL. What a pair. |
