Just had a look and I can't see anything on there. Maybe they just use Facebook comments now (half their stories are from other Facebook pages as it is)?

One day when I've got nothing better to do I'll work out what percentage of their stories come from the Gossip Girls FB page (which is huge, so seen as a brilliant source for them) and other local FB pages. Then I'll eliminate the stories that are just adverts for local shops and restaurants. Then I'll take off the stuff they seem to get direct from the emergency services (they used to seem to know within minutes when the fire brigade had been called, and now it's the police). Then I'll take off the stories which are sent in by readers ('I saw this car parked really badly', that sort of thing) and the stuff which is franchised nationally (like the date / poo story this week).

Reckon there might be two or three original stories left. In a week.

they report the weather as 'news' a single comment by one person is turned into 'people of Plymouth say...' giant rats, bugs, aliens somewhere else 'may' be coming to Plymouth. it uses words like 'swanky in headlines, it regurgitates developers statements as if gospel - all developments are going to feature high class materials and be lovely, it is full of spelling mistakes. Sales continue to decline so why should I care.

I'm a big believer that the herald should cut the number of editions it produces a week to 3-4 cause they simply cannot justify charging people for the crap they fill the paper with let along the site which is full of 10 reasons why plymouth is better than dubai kind of reports. The sales are dropping every year yet the paper gets worse.
