| Shouldn't have been an either/or scenario. With the massive profit of the last 12 months to the start of the season, the club was swimming in surplus cash over and above Brent's arbitrary precious budget that ensured all liabilities for the year were more than covered. It's been a conscious decision of his to keep the football budget minimal.

When exactly are you and your ilk going to get your head out of your collective arse and realise that Argyle should not have to get rid of their prime assets in order to build at least a competent team in this division? |

| It's all so reminiscent of Brent's type. Austerity for everyone and everything else, but not for his own personal gain and wealth appreciation. These people can't help themselves and actually believe they are entitled to it all. |

Too late! Must admit that regrets were uppermost in my mind today-very difficult to see how that team is ever going to score enough goals to win matches consistently, so reminiscent of struggling Argyle teams of the past. Looks as if the poundland policy is bringing the chickens home to roost, although one of the incomers in Joel Grant was easily the stand out performer today. Depressing overall, enjoyed the first fag afterwards far more than the match.
Anyway, far more importantly-was the pasty ok? Not bad, dear boy. No bleddy swede though lol |

| TT another one who feels more sympathy for Brent than for the poor mugs that fund the building of shops, offices, gyms, hotels a football team.Ie. us poor mugs. Plymouth Argyle Development Vehicle and Football Club. PADVFC has quite a ring I think. We get crowds of around 10,000 if the fanbase thought we might have invested this season so would they. Sustainability is fine I think we could all buy into that but this is getting ridiculous. Anyway Tone WhoTF do you think Adams can buy that would replace Carey and buy the striker we need on his wages? Wages probably on the thick end of our budget but they won't be L1 breaking wages you can gaurantee that. You're getting desperate now the fine gennleman has been found out, it's pasoti and the directors box for you bhey. |

| He probably feels mugged, he's getting on a bit and you can gaurantee he doesn't want to end up playing his last couple of seasons getting beaten every week by clubs much less supported than our own. |

That is the main task for the season, we know that. We also had inklings that Brent would hand over a bag of spare change to Adams, with a "there you are Derek, that should be ample enough".
The reality is kicking in now and if it continues (into the next 10-15 games), many will start to voice frustration. Hopefully they will aim that at Brent, Mr purse strings himself.
I still think that come the end of the season, Argyle will finish 14th, with one or two flirtatious with the bottom 6/4.
The side have got to learn fairly quickly as this league seems a monumental step up. Once suspensions and injuries are over, perhaps the team will click ?. But then again !! Why though? We had momentum, keep spine of promoted team, one or two well placed signings and on we go, no reason for aiming for survival, Walsall are a shite side I don't think MK are much better, it wouldn't have taken much to compete in this league, my guess is players are frustrated, bet Carey is feckin fuming. I understand what you say, but we do not have those cutting edge signings this season that could have made a difference. |
