They’ve got to pick themselves up. I’ve told them they need to go home tonight and analyse [the game] and look at it. The games are coming thick and fast, so we’ve got to make sure that we put the game plan together for MK Dons on Tuesday.

“We will train on Monday and whatever team I pick, it’s over to them then. We can only give them so much. I give them responsibilities on the pitch about simplicity and work ethic is a given.

“They did work hard [on Saturday] but they can work harder. We will give them the game plan to go out and try to execute against MK Dons because we need to collect a few points quickly.

“We don’t want to get ourselves in a fight down the bottom, we want to still keep looking up at teams above us and see if we can get up there.




Will Aimson talk to the local press

Defender Will Aimson has revealed ‘some home truths have been said’ as Plymouth Argyle try to return to winning ways.
Aimson admitted that Argyle needed to be more clinical in both penalty areas to get themselves back on track.
However, there have been other mistakes in recent matches too which have proved costly.
We have got to clean up in both boxes. It’s very frustrating and some home truths have been said, which needs to happen because we have got to get better at what we are doing.”

When asked about who had spoken the ‘home truths’ Aimson replied: “Everyone. We have got a team spirit and when something needs to be said it gets said.

MK Dons have no new injury concerns heading into Tuesday’s Sky Bet League One clash with Plymouth Argyle.

Assistant manager Luke Williams, speaking in the pre-match press conference, confirmed there are no ‘substantial’ issues from the weekend’s win, although revealed some players continue to play through knocks.

“No major concerns,” Williams said when asked if there were any new injuries following Saturday’s game at Stadium MK.

“A lot of people, as you can probably imagine, are nursing something that they are coping with and playing through, but there is nothing substantial ahead of tomorrow.

“We’re actually getting closer to guys back to fitness. Boys are going to be taking part in training who have been out.”

Among those expected to return to light training this week are Ben Gladwin and David Kasumu. Gladwin has missed the last four games with an ankle knock suffered in training while Kasumu is still working his way back from an injury sustained prior to Christmas.

Charlie Brown was a new addition to the treatment room last week but his issue isn’t deemed too serious. However, fellow strikers Kieran Agard and Jay Bird remain long-term absentees.

i agree he hasnt got a clue how to change the fortunes for the better cause he only knows one way to play and the other teams know it.

The fact so many of the goals conceeded are coming from crosses or set pieces and we still look no better defending them i question wtf hes doing in training cause this is concerning now. Copper needs to be dropped enough is enough he needs to be taken out of the team and give McCormick the spot as he might be able to marshall that defence alittle better than hes doing and probably wont be out of postition when the ball comes to him like with the MK goal just now. He is a talent yes but right now im more concerned about the present and something has to change.

Cooper may be one for the future but not now.
