The World Fireworks Championships are back in Blackpool!
The World Fireworks Championships take place in Blackpool between the 8th and 29th September, and much like last year when USA some of the world’s best pyrotechnic artists will be in town to light up the night sky in superb and spectacular fashion.
The best thing is that it’s all free. Simply take your place anywhere along the famous promenade on one of the evenings listed below (each event is on a Friday night). Bring the whole family down, as if last year was anything to go by, the kids – parents and grandparents too – will be in awe of the breathtaking spectacle overhead.
Where to watch
Get yourself comfortable, perhaps beside The Tower Headland. Make a night of it: maybe pick up some some fish and chips or an ice cream if the weather holds, sit back and see the entire resort up in lights – don’t forget you’ll also get to see the world-famous Blackpool Illuminations as well.
Expect a perfectly-synchronised soundtrack which will provide a stunning accompaniment to the jaw-dropping displays.
Build up will begin at 7.30pm with our media partner , and firing should be approximately 8.30pm.
Dates for your diary
Friday 8th September – Poland (Super Power)
Friday 15th September – France (Brezac Artifices)
Friday 22nd September – South Africa (Fireworks for Africa)
Friday 29th September – Celebration Display by UK and Winner Announcement
Choose the night that most suits you, or come to them all – either way you’ll have a night to remember and the kids will be talking about it for weeks on end, perhaps you will be too!
