| Last season maybe the results kept the heat off brent. But he certainly won't have that luxery this season and maybe the masses will finally turn on him and his useless board. As we go into the business end of the season with Argo bottom of L1 and no sign of any grandstand manky makeover commencing, hopefully all, apart from those ludicrous brent loving head bangers on pasoti, will be calling for his head.

| any jaw tightening or lip quivering going on tonight?
Maybe in the back seat of his chauffeurs motor at a lay-by on the a38 later on, but not while the goals are flying in as he enjoys the AAA Ashton Gate hospitality.

| If Argyle find themselves in the bottom four after 15 games, attitudes could change swiftly. I just hope Adams is not open to too much vitriol aimed his way.
Perhaps then the masses may step Down from the "Brent Soap Box'' and begin to bemoan the fact that Adams and the team are hanging on in there by their teeth.
Unlikely it will happen though, as failure (other than just about staying in League One) will no doubt be viewed as a step forward by said masses, whatever that would mean.
They will argue that messers Brent and Hallett are building a sustainable club and therefore Argyle can meander along aimlessly for a few years. I find that totally unacceptable.
Speaking in a post tense, it's after Brent where the fun and games will start. I can still see Hallett taking over as Chairman and also a major reshuffle taking place within the boardroom.
If Hallett is the super fan they continue to hark on about, where was he in the dark days of administration ?.

| It's all about success on the pitch. Argyle are basically a lower second division team, that could do better, but never have and often do far far worse. If this season takes a nose dive, Brent will cop it as much as McCauley and all those before him. Some of the back of the grandstand won't join in of course as always as they will be concentrating on smooching the new squire. The manager will also rightly get flack. In the end, with Brent, his BBC Liverpool chuckle showed it's indisputable he's redirecting money away from the football and tucking it in his property asset onion bag. That is bound to have an effect on performance on the pitch at some stage, compared to what Argyle should be achieving historically and with their attendances. The headline joke that his bolt on club eaterie, competing with his own and others restaurants in an area where there is no call, will benefit the club to the tune of £1m a season extra profit has always been hogwash, and it will be shown to be so. Along with the realisation the club will have by then been asset stripped of any one time only property estate, he'll be shown the door. As we saw with May at the election, it is Tory, and hence Brent philosophy to take one time only property assets from ordinary folk and communities, and he will have done his best to do so, as land is the only reliable asset to live on. He won't be made to empty his pockets on his departure, unless we really have advanced past the feudal days, and on that we can hope. But he will be mercilessly mocked in the new Home Park pissoirs commemorating his "giving back", and in the end, that will have to do. It's not me he's taking for a ride. |
