Lower to middle half of the table finish while toying with relegation all season got a feeling its gunna be a long old hard season But of course we could go for promotion, but then that means shelling out some (serious) money, hotels and ice rinks are obviously more of a priority for Green Jim.

| We kept a good core of last season team, to go with them we signed a good new young CH, The LB looks good, A promising flare playing MF, three wide players. All we need now is 1 or 2 forwards to complementary the ones we have.
I going with the wife promotion |

Maybe he and Freathy should put a tenner on. Be interesting next May to see how accurate Neil was. Neil Harris is spot on, no third division level players signed just freebie flops, get ready for more punching above our weight bollocks from the Brenties. |

| Not the start the side were hoping for no doubt. I think the step up to League One has bemused a few of the lads. Hopefully the manager and the team can quickly learn and adapt to the rigours of this division. It is still early doors yet, but in another 10 -15 games time though, that will show if they are up to the challenge.
I just looked over the road there and they have a thread on the current budget (or lack or it). I did skim through it. Not much that we don't kno already. I can see that thread kicking-off later ?.
I will still predict a mid-table finish, along with a flirtation down in the bottom 6. |

| Press conference?! If it was the usual from Brent or his Goon Starnes I would suspect it would be trivial like the announcement of a new smoking area or a Urinal. However from Adams? Interesting. |

| Yep. He'll be prodded into saying something bland like "there is more money available and it will be made available if necessary", but omitting to say it is just the rest of the budget including January money. If Adams thought about it for a second, Brent's comments that Adams likes to overachieve a budget are patronising and taking him for a mug. Of course all managers want to over achieve the money available, that's the whole raison d'etre of a manager. Brent is almost putting the blame on Adams, inferring the manager is happy with a pokey budget. There's only one figure that matters, how near is the budget to the allowed maximum 60% of turnover. Given Brent's austerity boasting regarding other overheads, I would expect the budget to be bang on 60%. We'll never get that figure though, not even when the accounts are released. I wish I could deduce last year's percentage when the accounts come out, but everything will be lumped in together to hide the reality that Brent's austerity applies solely to the football department and not his asset portfolio. With the Liverpool money, transfers etc, I suspect the percentage of turnover spent on players' wages was no more than 40%, if that. Blah blah blah. Getting more than bored talking about it now. zzzzzzzzzzzzz |

| According to PAFC site, Derek has announced he is hoping to bring in two free agents possibly today, now the transfer window has closed. One a striker and one a goalie! Make of that what you will, I think Suffers and Freathys comments could be entertaining. |

| Well the goalie is naturally a non-league reject. I don't expect the 'striker' will be any different.

| Thought I'd bump this. According to the ATD poll Plumduff Akkeron have exceeded these fans expectations this year, Seadog and Graiser getting close although Graiser did build in half a tables leeway. The general feelings of ATD were spot on though really with Adams overachievement with piss poor budget and lack of depth in squad costing us promotion or at least a playoff finish. |

Adams worked a miracle to lead Brents argyle to seventh, next season with another Manager and another piss take budget argo will struggle. |
