| Adams has been put on a shortlist by a bookmaker firm for the vacant Leeds United job, this is on top of another bookies shortlist for the Sunderland job some two weeks ago.
Opinions on that then ?.
His time here has been good for the club and it is no surprise that the bookies have noticed that. A job at a Championship side would be a big step up for Adams should he be invited for interview at Leeds or Sunderland or whoever.
I would much prefer he stayed at Argyle and enhanced his cv further. I believe he can take Argyle to even more success over the next couple of years or so. Of course, this is football and anything could happen between now and the new season. |

| Hopefully he will stay and have a crack at L1 But its only a matter of time before a bigger club comes calling..specially when the reluctant one sees the size of the compo cheque |

Hence why the reluctant one gave him that 4yr deal from someone that normally only hands out 6month to 1yr deals..his more slippery than a bag of eels |

| With three years left on his contract...it gives PAFC some security regarding him being taken other than from a Championship bank balance,.....I feel Adams wants to prove something at PAFC....he didn't need to come this far south to find a job that would pay the bills. |

| Lol, Adams is only waiting for the right ambitious club to make him an offer, which is probably most EFL clubs. |

| Clearly Adams has dealt with all sorts of contract demands from agents and players over the years.
He will know all the tricks.
I'd be amazed if he hasn't inserted a clause whereby a set compensation amount is paid to whatever club it is that wants him.
The status of the club (premiership, championship, league one) would come in to play as to the amount.
A good start to the season and he'll be off.

| I can't imagine Adams would become anywhere near a front runner at such a club at this stage, especially considering his less than attractive style. If he manages to do a Sturrock in league 1 then maybe, but that has to happen first, and some. It's well known in footy circles what styles suit lower leagues and which suit challenging for the premiership gig at the top of the championship. |

I was trying to think of those managers who have done well in Lge 2 and Lge 1 but then stumbled, for whatever reason, in Championship or Prem. Steve Evans? Luggy? |

It's well known in footy circles what styles suit lower leagues and which suit challenging for the premiership gig at the top of the championship. Pulis used a style which was successful in both the lower leagues and in getting Stoke promoted and subsequently doing reasonably well in the premier league. People like Bassett and Taylor followed a similar path in the past-the common denominator was that all of those managers changed the staff at their clubs to meet the demands of the higher division as required, which is a necessity no matter what style of play is followed. |
