DA looking at up to 10 newcomers and GC10 has an offer but cant keep the club hanging.
We've sold 4,400 season tickets so far,
It's a 42% increase on sales compared to the same stage last season
He was adamant that the green space of Central Park should not be encroached upon so the only place the ice rink could go is in the area currently occupied by the offices, club shop and car park.
We are going to be actually spending more than that £5 million because as part of the detail surveys, we found that the roof of the stadium needs replacing.
The board have agreed that we would provide a new roof on top of the £5 million budget that has been committed.

I suppose it's not entirely impossible for the ice rink and/or other facilities could be sited at the council depot. There could be land swaps pinging all over the place before this whole thing unravels. It'll have to happen soon, given the looming 2020 which is so important to the council for some arbitrary reason. I attended the first "walk and talk" yesterday afternoon up at the bowling green as part of the central park £9m improvement consultation process. Usual councillor or two in attendance. The council staff leading the process have no access to the "negotiations" that are ongoing regarding all the "brown sites" in the park as Brent gleefully calls them for obvious reasons. Crazy to have both things going on at once but separate. This is exactly how parks get nibbled away over the decades.
Brent also for the first time slipped in the word "dome" when talking of academy 4g pitches and what could be a possibility, presumably at Harpers.

The Ice Rink links to 2020 as PCC promised continuous Ice when the Pavilions was sold to James Brent's Five Directions Ltd.
His redevelopment of closed swimming pool and Ice rink is tenuously linked to the Millbay Boulevard linking Union Street to Millbay. This was supposed to have gone clean through the Pavillions site but now skirts down its' service road on Bath Street in typical PCC / JB half measure.

I laughed out aloud when Brent gave his oh so informed and uneducated tribal opinion on vegetarian/vegan diets, telling all who would listen, not eating animal products has a protein deficiency built in. Dear oh dear oh dear, does he really think people who avoid animal foods don't take care of their dietary needs ? He doesn't have a clue, which is even more unsettling given his catering businesses. Still, great food available at Home Park on matchdays ? Get a Ginsters down yer neck, you know it does you good eh ? By the way, legal minimum meat requirement in a pasty..........0%. No wonder I don't like this owner and what he represents.

I am guessing he has finally heard about Forest Green's ever so popular all vegan food at matches idea and wants to cash in even though it doesnt lol.

He of course mentioned Forest Green, and that is their food choice, no big deal one way of the other. Everyone to their own. Why doesn't he just talk about the football ? Does he really believe the over processed over priced tat at his football stadium is full of goodness ? ... which of course was the main point of the question put to him. Usual deflection. Someone needs to inform him the traditional source of protein in these islands are beans and grains..... hence the modern baked beans on toast. Dear oh dear oh dear oh dear

"For some arbitrary reason" - You are spot on there.
Was there the possibility of asking said councillors any questions during said "walk and talk"?
As for the "brown sites", Brent has essentially shat over the whole city since he arrived, so he must be seeing them everywhere...
