| So, Carey's looking for a better deal than he's been offered. Don't blame him. Bye. |

Graham Carey - Offered new deal Luke McCormick - Retained David Fox - retained Antoni Sarcevic - retained Yann Songo'o - retained Sonny Bradley - retained Nathan Blissett - already under contract Jake Jervis - retained Oscar Threlkeld - retained Ryan Taylor - alday under contract Gary Miller - retained
I'm 50/50 on these or haven't seen enough to make a call either way.
Connor Smith - released Vincent Dorel - released Jordan Bentley - offered professional deal Alex Fletcher - offered proffesional deal Callum Rose - offered professional deal Gary Sawyer - retained Jakub Sokolík - retained Jordan Slew - released Jimmy Spencer - released
The following I think should be released
David Ijaha - released Nauris Bulvītis - released Ryan Donaldson released Marc McCallum - Offered new deal Louis Rooney - released
Didn't do too badly, I probabaly should have stuck my neck out on Slew and Spencer as I didn't think either were up, expecially as Kennedy and Taylor were such an upgrade. Hopefully if Slew is going Kennedy may return on another season long loan. Ryan Brunt, Nauris Bulvitis, Jack Calver, Ryan Donaldson, Vincent Dorel, David Ijaha, Louis Rooney, Jordan Slew, Connor Smith, Jimmy Spencer |

| I am supprised that he would release Dorel yet keep McCallum to be honest. |

| No great shocks there.
Shame about Louis Rooney. I reckon he'll bang in loads of goals for somebody.
Looks bad for Brunty but it had to be on the cards.
Well done to those who have been kept on and good luck and thank you to those who are moving on.
We really do need to find a way to make that final leap with our young players because apart from Purrington it seems like a while, too long in fact, since one came through. |

Yeah bit weird that the 2nd choice has been released, while the 3rd choice, who I think has played about 10 minutes of football for us in the Trophy, gets a new contract. Other than that no big surprises. Also noticed Ryan Lane's name on the released list. Weren't there high hopes for him a while back? |

| Mark McCallum is younger....6ft 4in tall...a fellow Scot and has more potential than Vincent Dorel.....will eventually take over from McCormick....if Adams stays around. |

I can only assume Del Bhey is going to sign a keeper in the summer to be McCormicks competition and cover more so than Dorel was not to say McCallum wont be but he will want 3 keepers. |

The only football Dorel has played in the UK is 5 games for Argyle.....in France he played nearly all his football for obscure French teams at a very low league level. |

Lots of his football was played at the 3rd or 4th level of the French pyramid where the standards are not so low. Not what I would describe as a very low league level, tbh. |

| So take out the apprentices and we can't - as of today - field a team? |

We could just about - we have 11 senior pros confirmed (+ Sawyer who's quoted as saying he's staying). Given we had only 4 senior pros in June last year Adams has a much stronger base this time around - if he adds L1 quality to what we've already got we should have a decent squad even if the inevitable happens with Carey. |

| Could easily be that Dorel wants to go back to France.
As for Carey... He's just seen what has happened to Ryan Brunt, Nauris Bulvitis, Jack Calver, Ryan Donaldson, Vincent Dorel, David Ijaha, Louis Rooney, Jordan Slew, Connor Smith and Jimmy Spencer and knows his time will come one day too. I don't blame him for looking for the best deal he can get at all. Who wouldn't in his position?
He's given his all from the first moment he played for us to the last. We can expect no more than that.
I hope he signs a new contract for us but if he doesn't then we can look back at his time here with great affection because he's been the most talented player we have had in years.

Its a gamble by Del Bhey to get rid of so many although most of his list i agree with. I am bit surprised smith was let go as i thought he would have been a useful player to have in the squad as would have Spencer as he was a different kind of option to throw on. But never the less lets see who he signs up. |

| Looks like Derek isn't messing around, good on him, shame the owner isn't so dynamic. No great surprises, hope Matt Kennedy returns at some point, real shame for Ryan Brunt given what's happened for him. All the best to everyone leaving the club. |

| If Slew is gone, I'm hopeful something is in place for Kennedy. I am pleased that a number of players have been released, because the squad will definaetly need more quality, although obviously hopeful that they find other clubs. Shouldn't be too hard with a promotion fresh on their CV. |

I like to think Del Bhey is going to sign a good left back that we never replaced Purrington with and have him along with Threlkeld as the irst choice fullbacks with Miller and Sawyer competing. |
