| We will know by our kick off on Saturday if we can be on the same points as Doncaster, if their loses their local derby which kicks off at 1300hrs
SUPPORTERS are reminded that this Saturday's Sky Bet League Two fixture with Doncaster Rovers is a 1pm kick-off.
This fixture is all ticket for Doncaster Rovers supporters only and Darren Ferguson's promotion chasing side have completely sold out of their 1900 ticket allocation.
Our ticket office is reporting good availability for home fans in all stands at the moment. You can book your Early Bird tickets from our Online Ticket Office, by calling 01472 605050, or from the Blundell Park Ticket Office.
Note.
We will have Doncaster stewards on duty during Saturday's fixture. Any visiting supporters attempting to enter Blundell Park in the home end will have entry refused, with no refund being given on their tickets. |

| Every home game should easily be 10k plus from now on in, if not something's wrong and Joe public hasn't been grabbed by the thrill of the ride, that's entertainment folks. |

| I've rounded up TSC and block booked for Newport as likely chance of securing promotion. Surprised more haven't done same given Janner love of Quo and Queen blaring out. Remember last game of season in Championship in first year back being sold out before Xmas.
Not many were keen on Saturday after quality of football displayed on Sunday. |

| Tricky game this one, Accy in good form. Depends on which Argo turn up. Wouldn't be surprised if they got beat given their home form. If they're on their game they'll win no question, but you never know! |

| Promotion seasons have traditionally only seen the much larger attendances the last 2 or 3 games of the season when promotion is at stake. It's not really at stake anymore. As Tringreen has always said, it takes years to get a real fanbase together. The odd promotion from the bottom feeding doesn't qualify as many have found other things to enthuse over. The most some will do is raise a faint smile, think about it, then get on with more important things. And this is the Fourth Division against Accrington, after all. Add to that the 9 years of awful dross post Holloway including sadly Adams' current style of play, owners that have built nothing but stasis, a blame everyone but themselves culture including fans and all local councils within spitting distance, an accelerating POTD price differential and headline holiday withdrawal of casual POTD cash facilities, and it's hardly surprising. Praaapppper ghetto culture, sniping from it's turrets at the undeserving general population outside. It's not just all about success at this low level and high price, it's also about being a club new people and returnees want to join for a host of differing reasons. I don't detect any stand out new attractive qualities to date. The club is still owned by investment types looking "to do a deal". |

Unbelievable, isn't it.
Just think you could be well into your twenties now as a lifelong supporter and you'd never have seen a properly successful season. All they have ever known is desperate hanging on, relegation (twice), narrowly avoiding ever more abject failure (twice) and bottling it when we get a sniff of glory (twice).
It's amazing that we have any fans under the age of about 30 at all.
You can hardly blame them for going batshit mental about everything when we do eventually go up. |

The final home games should in theory pull five figure crowds, who wish to cheer on the promotion bound greens. Anything over 10,000 for Accy would be good. As for the games against Newport and Crewe, you have got to be then looking at 13,000 plus. Should Argyle get promoted at Crawley or Pompey, then the Newport game could be a sell out. I am thinking about popping along. Like you say, perhaps people are thinking otherwise at the moment. In the promotion winning season of 2001/02, the final three home games were as follows :- March 30 Bristol Rovers 1-0 (Keith) 15,732 April 6 Southend United 0-0 10,021 April 20 Cheltenham Town 2-0 (Coughlan, Bent) 18,517

| At least the first tranche of global pirates used to occasionally lob bread over the castle walls in the shape of cheap tickets to the ne'er do well adult population, in fact I seem to remember Toad actually REDUCING the price one season in the Mayflower, heaven forbid. All this present raiding party have done is give out thousands of free tickets to children without their parents, most of whom have no intention whatsoever of popping along to Home Park on a normal day and parting with a fiver of their chocolate/ sugar energy drink money. Strange days. As someone on here once said, glad I'm not going |

You can hardly blame them for going batshit mental about everything when we do eventually go up. To be fair glory has been pretty rare whichever generation you're from. In my formative years Argyle were a solid Division 3 club, with the second division being a place we visited for a short while every couple of decades and history pretty much supported that. Our median position is still Division 3 but in the last 20 years we've spent far less time there than the two leagues either side. |
