| 1) Doncaster 38 31 78 2) Plymouth 38 18 72 3) Portsmouth 38 25 65 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 4) Stevenage 38 12 61 5) Luton 37 20 59 6) Carlisle 38 0 59 7) Exeter 38 16 58 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Blackpool 38 20 57 Table looks much better this evening. Blackpool are hot on Exeter's tails and could steal that final Play-Off spot. |

After six years of Basement Brentness, the third division, will get the carrier bag carrying, badge wearing Bobble hat Bellends, positively moist.... not there yet though. |

Compared to the 4th division, then yes Not really, is it! That's like comparing a Waitrose carrier bag to a Lidl carrier bag. But, I take your point - it's a step in the right direction. |

| Pretty run of the mill game nothing of great merit to write about. Carey scored a good goal we didnt play fantastic at all but we won which is the important fact.
On to next sunday live on the tele against champions doncaster.

| Proverbial game of two halves really. Thought Argyle played a lot of good football with Fox spraying it well in the first half, without creating too many clear cut chances but the one that counted was a 20 yard dipper from game changer Carey which from my angle looked saveable, interesting to see the goal tonight. Second half was edgy with Morecambe having lots of pressure, lots of long range shots and corners without ever looking truly dangerous-Argyle in fact had the best chances on the counter, one in particular when Jervis failed to convert at the far post following a good run and cross from Slew. Not a classic but a big 3 points and an 11 point gap with 8 games to go will take some blowing. Not counting chickens yet though.... |

| Not sure about the keeper but it was a proper top drawer goal. One touch and then pings it into the far corner.
Carey the difference. Yet again. |

Carey the difference. Yet again. Just seen the goal on SSN, think I did Carey and Barry a disservice-'twas indeed a peach. |

It is on here I think you put the link to the Wycombe goals in error Put right, Thanks A view on the game from Morecambe Match Report: Plymouth Argyle 1-0 Morecambe A SUPERB 16th minute goal from Graham Carey saw Morecambe slip to a fourth successive defeat in League 2. Carey produced the game’s decisive moment in the 16th minute with a superb goal. The midfielder, who had seen two early shots fly wide of the target, found his range with a fine, curling effort from 20 yards that flew into the top left hand corner of Barry Roche’s goal. The home side continued to put the pressure on the Morecambe goal with former Shrimps’ loan striker Jimmy Spencer volleying a close range effort into the side netting and Oscar Threlkeld heading onto the roof of the Morecambe net. Roche was forced into two decent saves from Jake Jervis and Gary Miller as the home side got in behind the Morecambe back four. The Shrimps created one moment of note in the first half when Lee Molyneux drilled a low shot inches wide of the right hand post though he may have been better playing in Paul Mullin who was in space to his right hand side. The Shrimps were much the better side in the second half but only tested Luke McCormick once in the Plymouth goal when Michael Rose swung in a curling free kick from the right hand side that was heading for the bottom right hand corner of the Argyle goal. Molyneux volleyed over when he should have done better and the same player was almost played in by Ryan Edwards but just failed to reach the ball. Plymouth were forced to rely on the counter attack and went close with efforts from Jordan Slew and Ryan Taylor before Roche saved smartly from Jervis after he cut in from the left. The Shrimps ended the game on the front foot but Argyle held on for a clean sheet and another three points in their quest for automatic promotion |

| Funny old game. We were utterly dominant for 45 minutes and should have been 2-3 goals to the good at half time.
Second half was entirely different not that Morecambe ever did much. |

It wasn't. It was never in doubt. Once we scored it was just a matter of how many but sadly it stopped at one. We could, probably will, end up being easily promoted without looking consistently good, at home anyway, at all. Weird. |

| IF we go up, and it's still a very big if, surely we'll be by far the worst team ever to be promoted in the history of the football league. |
