| Hi Graham,
Where has the 750 capacity for corporate suite come from?
It's a comparable size to the Exeter Suite to say capacity pro-rata to size would be about that, but the number of pillars from existing structure (which appear to be shown on plan) will reduce the capacity for table seating significantly.

The Exeter Suite at Sandy Park is 674m2 (37m x 17.4m). A scale of the plans shows the Home Park conference are to be of similar width and maybe slightly deeper. The pillars you mention would be utilised for subdivision. A reduction of around 50 in capacity would be right to avoid obstruction. I was told the figure of 750 which seems to be borne out by the comparable size. |

| Giving Starnes and Bungo Backs proven level of Bufoonery, who's to say argo will make any money out of this corperate malarky, and it wont just be big empty rooms unused losing money? Exeter Chiefs are Rugbys top club with a good product on the pitch, argo wont achieve anything with a squad full of Poudshop Pro's, investment in the squad is whats needed. |

| Unlike Brent and Hallett, I'm a city resident and regular park user, I have always been one that has smiled at the magic £1million extra oft quoted, especially as I have never really seen public wording that states the million is estimated extra gross turnover or gross profit and whether that is offset against related losses within the club and around the stadium, as other club revenues are inevitably adversely affected by the new profit centre ? Do those figures include fans moving from the Lyndhurst to the grandstand due to improved facilities for instance ? And of course, let alone the old thorny will any of "it" ever go to the football or will it go straight into the capital account and hence nowhere near the football ?
Pie in the sky, and I have never ever once detected a market in Plymouth for such banqueting/conferencing stuff within a tired old facade at Home Park adjacent to the derelict corners, and I certainly can't imagine it being a premium site for a year or two in any case, while putting up with the intimated builders' dozers next door doing their HHP thing. It all sounds so old fashioned and steeped in cobwebs, just like Brent's first plans that failed so miserably once he put them out to any interested parties. There's still talk of building an hotel in the park at HHP to complement the ice and the pools, and there is already permission for this in the Life Centre area, yet on Plymouth Hoe, the most impressive situation of all, we have the situation where the council HAD to buy the old Mayflower Hotel site to stop property developers just putting ANOther block of expensive apartments there, just like those at Oldway Manor. Developers only want to see expensive flats built. That says a lot about the viability of building new hotels from scratch on prime sites in today's market . What makes Brent think an hotel would be a goer in Central Park ? Wouldn't be an easy change of use to residential a few years down the line would it ? |

Beesrus is most likely right on this - an ice rink won't pay for itself and a hotel is a prime candidate as part of enabling development. Where he's wrong is that hotel interest is very strong within the City, particularly from branded budget operators such as Travel Lodge. Addiing an ice rink alongside the Life Centre and argyle would make Central Park an attractive location. Re the conference centre - speak to any managers within the City's large employers, professional service firms, the uni, etc etc they will all bemoan the fact Plymouth currently lacks quality hotel rooms and hospitality space of the sort proposed at HP. Sandy Park is used frequently by Plymouth based businesses with nowhere currently to go within the City. Thankfully HP and the Hoe hotel development will begin to address this. |

lol it wont be surely everyone understands thats going to Brent and Hallett.....its all pretty depressing a tin pot renovation with corners still derelict frankly I will laugh big style (if by some miracle work actually does start) when they uncover expensive unknown issues when renovation starts......happens on nearly all projects especially with builds pre 1960..... What you gonna do Jimmy fund the excess yourself or just leave the lot to rot. Judging by past abortive efforts at actually laying a brick I know where my money sits. |

| 2020 is looming, pressure on for Green Jim and silent Si to make a start, given for once he made a statement of intent to do something. Looking forward to the brentherald coverage of the 'renovation' works. |

One would have thought being given the huge Pavilions real estate for a £1 would have been enabling enough, but, no, as we've seen at Oldway Manor, before it was taken back from him, you can give the squire the earth and it still isn't enough. |

Wouldn't it be an amazing thing in years and even decades to come to be able to say we either funded or helped with the building of stage 2? |

If the community twins Jimmy and si, handed the Freehold of hp over to the AFT im sure the Trust could raise the money by selling shares to the fans, its a Community win win! |

Wasn't aware porkys crew had suggested raising the additional 1 million....as I mentioned on freechat why the hell cant brent put the money up ffs same interest rate hallett is reputed to be getting back. I'm pretty sure everyone on ATD would have thought for the phase 2 build that it was way way more than "the less than 1 million" hallett claims it will be.....FFS borrow it Brent you cvnt surely some of your investment bum chums at citibank are still holding folding from the collapse. Dan Mc would have pulled that out from petty cash...... |

| Strangely the Pig himself believes Hallett has got the figures wrong "Plus, I can't help but feel £1million for Phase two is not right. It must be a lot, lot more, surely?" |
