Only a matter of time before the hooligan is given Director status at which point the freaks and weirdos will receive lifetime banning orders for divisive activities against PAFC.....Its coming rest assured |

the stand is bound to cheap, cheerful, tacky and shit now If Brent and Community Si, were really going to do anything at all it would be designed by now and planning permission applied for, its just a phoney load of nonsense for the Badged up numpties, nothing will be done to the grandstand while these Real Fans own the club. |

No question that this is Newell's ultimate goal. When that day comes, my association with the club ends. |

Absolutely. I have a feeling its already been designed and this is just for show as no fan ever no matter their allegiances would willing suggest or accept buliding a smaller stand and capping the capacity of it to allow for a bigger conference centre. with the exception of nool and the gang. |

No question that this is Newell's ultimate goal. When that day comes, my association with the club ends. Not even the Brent Twins, would want the Internet Patrol Officer, in the Board Room would they ? |

| Exactly this. Following on from the GASboard debacle, we now have GASboard mark 2 which excludes
The members of the AFT working group, who managed to put forward a much praised plan, the AFT, anyone who could not spare Thursday afternoons off from a responsible career in the planning/construction areas Anyone under the age of 50 (I think)
And if joe public fans were actually supposed to have any input at all, how come the club didn't publish the WG names and contact details, rather than keep them a secret.
A complete waste of time.

| Of course there's nothing to stop the AFT, if it has any oomph left at all post Bob, responding with their own ideas/proposals as they did with the first ludicrous plans. This so-called working group is designed to neutralise any real constructive criticism from the fans. should the plans be nothing but a watered down cheaper version of the first stealing of the stadium corners. |

No chance of that Freathy.....They'd be caught bang to rights already holding detailed construction plans |

| I'm not sure there's a great deal of actual construction planned at all is there? The Grandstand structure is staying. It's just a case of bolting on some sort of cheap pre-fab conferencing area to the back, then refurbing and possibly extending dressing rooms etc. Then wack some permanent seats on the Mayflower.
It'll look cheap. It'll look shite. Of course it will. But at least it won't be such a catastrophic disaster as the original boxed-in mini-stand Brent was desperate to lash up. |

| Yes I have a feeling the only actual 'construction' work planned is the conference facilities. But the very least I that should be required for the grandstand is either the upper tier extended to the full length of the pitch or the horseshoe corners completed up to the grandstand and a new extended roof that also covers the entire lower mayflower area. But nothing on this scale will be planned. New seats upper and lower is all we'll get. |

Adding this to Nool posting pictures of the pillar boxes and extended roof like Goodison Gladys Rd, can see how this is shaping up.
What use they find for the extra "office" space this time should be fun. Chiropodist clinic by Colin's retirement maybe? |

| None of this makes any sense. They have already stated how much the development will cost, therefore must have quantified the project via a detailed design.
so why the need for a working group ? |

so why the need for a working group ? Probably going for a reduced Consultation Period for Planning Application. |

so why the need for a working group ? Did they? I thought that they stated a budget, which may have been plucked from thin air, or worked out as a budget cost to a much lower level of detail. Those kind of 'are we in the right ballpark' figures happen way before detailed design. It will be up to the designer to work to the budget (or advise the client if it is unrealistic). |
