| About time too. The guy only won Leicester one premiership title in the last 18 months. |

| Football, eh? Bloody hell.
Ranieri's achievement last season meant he should have had a job for life at Leicester. Even if his removal as manager was necessary they should have found a way to treat him with the dignity his unmatched, probably unmatchable, achievement deserves and found him a role as Director of Football or Club Ambassador or Director or something.
Next time you have a mank about greedy, grasping footballers or lack of loyalty in the game then think back to this.
Shameful. |

| A rum old world sometimes, an unthinkable happening back in May and still pretty bizarre now. Not sure what caused Leicester's decline in the league but surely the kudos of the Champions league, in which Leicester have done very well and still have a chance of progress, must have been a major factor. I suppose you never know what goes on behind the scenes but on the face of things, totally mad decision making from the board/owner. |

| Sadly it's all about the money. It simply costs a club too much these days if they're relegated from the Prem. 10 years ago, winning the League would have probably guaranteed him a seasons grace and the chance to get them promoted again the following year. Not any more. Too much cash to lose.
Sad times. |

| To quote a well known Greek football pundit......... "One swallow does not a summer make, nor one fine day; similarly one day or brief time of happiness does not make a person entirely happy." God bless the employer/employee relationship........ the height of human endeavour and respect Surely no one takes this sort of circus seriously anymore ? |

i don't think there was any secret with Leicester. Last season Leicester ran a lot, much much more than any other team. Vardy for instance carried out more sprints than any other striker in the league, Kante was like a a Duracell bunny. It was having strengths and playing to them to the max. Last season was a perfect storm, lots of things fell into place for them and they made it look easy, this season it's harder and they aren't used to having to dig results out in the same way. Kante left and Vardy had it's rumoured, a very enjoyable summer also. r. I don't think there was any tactical genius and with rumours of egos and backroom unrest which I was telling dear Foxy about, a change had to be made. It probably should have been done sooner, so the new manager could have given the dressing room a shake up, so you could argue they are victims of their own success. It just seems senseless doing it at this stage.

| Clearly no time for sentimentality or loyalty when a share of the Prem's billions is at stake. Money is all that matters for Prem Chairmen and owners. |

It doesn't help when the manager has lost the plot. |
