Six week ban is friging ridiculous, yes he shouldn't of done it. But it was just a little push. What did Suarez get for trying to eat people? What did Cantona get trying to kick someone's head off?

So to clarify, he got a standard 3 match violent conduct ban which Orient appealed and on appeal it was doubled?

6 is harsh but it is clear that Orient are being punished for having the audacity to appeal in the first place. Shorely they should have realised the Football League have to be seen to clamp down on stuff like this? It was a twattish thing to do. Take the 3 game ban (and the fuckin 3 points) and move on innit.

Did'nt look a "little push" on replay, the six game ban is entirely warranted, what a shit role model Kelly is to all those kids watching that thuggery, also the examples you give were a long time ago, and in case you haven't noticed the game and it's rules have radically changed since then.

Sorry greengul, I think it's a massive overreaction, you think its thuggery, I think it's a small push. It's a mistake, he shouldn't of done it, but the reaction to it from our lot, is way, way OTT.

We have to agree to difer, either way Kelly is banned for six games so he won't do that again in a hurry, as others have said the club was somewhat stupid to have contested the charge given the clear video evidence.

Yep agreed, would love to know if they increased his ban, because they appealed the charge. I can only assume they thought like me that the "violent conduct" charge was excessive. Not sure what in the football world, is the next charge down the scale?
Whatever I think, there's no excuse for him not apologising. Now the legals are out the way, hope he does the right thing..
