“However, given the unintended and unforeseen consequences of impaired sight lines, and following consultation with supporters and our partners on the Safety Advisory Group, we have significantly reduced the capacity in those seats for the Exeter match.
“The tickets we have made available in that area have been mainly sold to junior members of groups associated with our Community Trust.”
It will be the last time that any supporters will be able to use the Mayflower seating.

| [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I see D & C have issued the usual warning to both sets of fans ahead of the match. Police are preparing for the big Devon derby this weekend between Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City with warnings for fans to behave.
Extra officers are expected to be on hand for the match which historically has seen animosity overspill from the terraces to the Home Park car park and surrounding areas.
Supt Glen Mayhew, the police officer in charge of the operation on Saturday, said: "As a force we are experienced in policing large scale sporting events such as this, and we have worked with both clubs to ensure the Devon derby is policed appropriately.[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |
