| This is what happens - and will always happen at Argyle - when the backroom set-up is akin to a non-league outfit. "We'll learn from it". Like fcuk you will. You never ever do. Village to the end. [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Learning from mistakes = investment in proper infrastructure and resources. So no they won't.

BRENT OUT NOW The shyster is not interested in any kind of proper investment, as long as the keep it ticking over philosophy prevails. The Brentmare continues. |

| Didn't precisely the same thing happen a few years back when we scraped a 1-1 home draw to Torquay, who were relegated that season?
Hardly any gates were open and people missed the first 20 minutes of the game. Oh and of course the food was sold out by half time.
Couldn't we have learnt lessons then?
Useless as ever. |

Useless as ever. THIS and some dont get why i keep asking year after year as to what good those fan surveys that john lloyd runs do when the club blatantly ignore the results. The food is highlighted every year and not one thing has been done to resolve it and boxing day alone showed just how unprepared we are for "big" gates and if we do go up this year and the gates increase i dread to think of how bad its going to be. |

| They should have a ticket pick up point out side the lyndhurst /Devonport stands for that area, they have a portable trailer that used to hold the portable shop parked at HHP and open the old ticket office at the main entrance for the main stand. All it entail is handing out envelopes. The trust or GT could man them, that would save Brent paying out any cash. |

| Watched the 74-75 'dream season' earlier and the obvious rush for Everton tickets. It was commented we had the worst facilities in the football league but we managed to double the ticketing booths from 2 to 4. 40 years on and nothing much has changed. Also had some decent league gates that season, 20k+ against Blackburn, Preston, Colchester, don't remember problems back then? |

Seem to remember that other bodies such as newsagents sold tickets back then in order to ease the pressure on the box office. |

| There was still a big queue on the first day down to the clocktower and almost to the pitch and putt, but it was not a matchday. They weren't stupid then. Barry Vassallo, what a screamer. Drunk Everton fans in half the Lyndhurst weren't particularly pleasant that day.
The problem these days is people like Brent want to cut cut cut labour costs down to some mythical nucleus of efficiency designed to turn him another penny. Cashless turnstiles are a ridiculous folly. Sometimes, Brent, you have to pay out for customer satisfaction, or run a half empty bus or two if you have any intention of your brand of anything being included in civilised community. IT automated systems are very brittle when the wind blows. Invest in trained staff. And yes, I do believe the Bill Pearce influence had many trusted outlets across the region back then already set up with their lottery outlets. We continue to go backwards. |

Won't allow POTD in cash at HP etc etc etc Everything has to be accounted for.................except himself of course. |

You cant buy them yet and it wont just be season ticket holders taking the piss when they do start selling them. strike that i see some have already started stock pilling tickets on facebook. i really really really hope the club are on the ball for this game ie getting fans into the stadium by opening up all the turnstiles, they properly staff the kiosks so queues are not as long plus have plenty of goods to sell for all so they don't sellout before halftime. Oh and the stewards are on the ball more with crowd control. |

| They need to sort out the phone line too. People trying to get into the queue for Anfield tickets were charged every time it connected even if they were only being told to ring again. I know at least two people who had to pay over thirty quid just to get into the queue - and that was on landlines.
No point Brent banging on about the "brand" on the Today programme this morning if people are getting that kind of experience. |

| It would appear it was the fault of ticketmaster who were apparently ''testing the system''. Fans have been told today's purchases are not valid although, in theory, a contract has been made. We'll see! |
