| Top, top series.
Can't be the end for Drake surely?
(That's Bennett, not Sir Francis) |

| Well it all happened...
So to be spoiler-free suffice it to say that this is TV of the highest possible calibre. Absolutely brilliant stuff with a mazy storyline that all weaves together eventually. Tough, uncompromising, proper adult drama.
They've certainly built in a few plotlines that are going to be hard to reconcile!
Can't wait for the next series! |

| It's addictive (Breaking Bad) and the best series I've ever seen. The pace fluctuates from slow to how the hell did they fit all that in 44 minutes.
Watched Ripper Street last night.......fantastic but can't see how Drake comes back from that. Great last line "no, I've done enough fighting" which fitted perfectly with the storyline about his past and Rose.
Think Ripper Street may be available as a box set on Amazon Prime who made this current series. |

| Series 1-3 are definitely out there on DVD (we've got them). Don't think Series 4 is out yet.
Well worth catching up with if you have missed it.
It took me an episode or two to tune in to the dialogue which is all Victorian/Regency English but once you do it is fine.
It's kind of like a Gothic Sherlock Holmesian nightmare with added brutality and multiple layers of plotline.
I can't believe that the BBC stopped making it but it can't be a cheap show to produce and the attention to location/period detail is brilliant.
I've never seen Breaking Bad either.

| Breaking Bad is being shown 1 episode a week in its entirety on AMC at the minute. If you haven't got Netflix it is thoroughly worth getting the 'free month' offer, then download and watch the lot. As Dick says, right up there and quite possibly the best ever. |

| Catching up on stuff has completely changed our habits. Being able to binge without any ad breaks is very pleasurable. We didn't come to GoT until about 2 series in, BB the same. I judge how impressed I am with stuff if I actually go out and get the DVD box sets after I've watched it to make sure I have it for posterity. Apart from the aforementioned a quick glance on the shelf reveals Life on Mars and Prison Break in that category. Recently I thoroughly enjoyed The Night of.
I still have to get Bake Off live to her indoors happy. Filmon.com is to blame for that. |

| I find it is an interesting pastime regularly trolling around the Charity shops searching for series that I have enjoyed watching and maybe vidoed but would prefer the DVD version.....The West Wing, Downton Abbey, Call the Midwife, Cookson etc......they quite often have extras and background info that you do not see on the TV version.......being retired and a bit of a saddo I've been doing it for years with complete book runs of for instance....Wycliffe, Wexford, Morse, Poirot, Marple, Cookson, Macomber etc....there is a great satisfaction tracking down that missing video or book to complete a set....a mission accomplished moment. |

| I watched the first 3 episodes from this series of Ripper Street, so will have to play catch up sometime. The Mrs has kept up with it pretty much as it's gone along, but I've been up to my neck in work/health/stress/festivals. I've not even found time to listen to the new Marillion album that was released a couple of weeks ago! Just too damn busy! |

Just... wow! Calm down dear. The plot was just a modern media algorithm allied to a particular white balance level. I want a return to real travelling street corner theatre that turns up in a Hesse like way and disappears by morning. You can smell the story long after it's gone, a bit like proper footy. |

| Another perfect bingewatch is the Dirk Gently remake with Elijah Wood (it is on Netflix).
Briliant and bizarre in equal measure.
Looking forward to Ripper Street immensely. |

Looking forward to Ripper Street immensely. Just make sure that your algorithms and white balance levels are accurate before sitting down to watch with a tinny and a bacon sandwich. They're very important when watching Ripper street are your algorithms and white balance levels. |

That's what they all said, until they fell for "the greatest story ever told" Never underestimate a crackling fire as the sun leaves the day, an uncomfortable perch, clinging wood smoke and a deep resonant voice. |
