| Plymouth Albion maintain Brickfields winning run by beating Birmingham Moseley
PLYMOUTH Albion hammered out a statement of intent to the rest of National One with their sixth win at home - and crucially a 27-20 victory over a Birmingham Moseley side which was relegated from the Championship and has every intention of going back up at the first attempt.
Attendance: 1,162 |

| Plymouth Albion offer players longer deals to keep them at club
After Captain and number eight Herbie Stupple, has accepted a deal which will keep him at Brickfields until the end of the 2020 season.
Now head coach Dan Parkes said other players are being approached with longer-term deals than the normal one-year contract.
While it is not yet clear whether players will agree to be contracted to Albion for as long as Stupple, the aim is to give members of the squad more stability while they are playing for the National One club.
The move also gives the management a clear idea which players they will be working with next season.
Parkes said: "I think it's sending out the right message to the players – I'd like to get as many of them signed up as I can before Christmas.
"It makes it a lot easier for next season when you know what you've got.
"Obviously, it's going to be up to the individuals as to how long their contracts will be."

"This is due to work commitments, which have left Dan unable to give his full time and attention to his role here at Albion."We have mutually agreed that it is best for both parties to part company.
"Since joining the club from National Three side Brixham, Dan has guided Albion to ten wins out of 14 so far in National One, leaving us in third position in the table.
"The club would like tolike to thank Dan for all his efforts and achievements to date and wish him all the best for the future."
Parkes told Herald Sport that he would effectively be taking a holiday from rugby until next season.
He said: "I wish them (Albion) all the best.
Shame as the team playing some good rugby, his coaching team who will takeover short term and after the fiasco in the summer when dan was hired to replace Dawe it was pleasing to see Success on the pitch at least. With London Welsh being liquidated there could be a chance of two teams going up this season to fill the void so whomever Albion hire i hope he can build on Albions league placing and moves them onwards and upwards. |

If Albion had been successful with his conversions Albion could have won against a team undefeated this season. Still a good game they gained the bonus point and end the year in 2nd. Albion do have some solid foundations for promotion next season if they keep the core of this squad together and add to it. |

| Good win by the Raiders, grandson first visit to a BBL game, it was his friends birthday treat. Waiting for the full report tomorrow as he has a sleep over at his friends tonight.
A scorching third-quarter display saw Plymouth Raiders roar to a convincing 113-82 win over BBL basement dwellers Manchester Giants at Plymouth Pavilions on Wednesday.
A capacity crowd of almost 1,500 fans – the third in a row at the Pavilions – were treated to more than 100 second-half points and a slick offensive show by Raiders that Giants simply couldn't live with

Old Albanian RFC 13-18 Plymouth Albion Plymouth Raiders end Bristol Flyers hoodoo with dramatic OT win in BBL Plymouth Raiders ended their away hoodoo at Bristol Flyers on Friday night – but they needed a dramatic fightback and then overtime to do it. Raiders had been to the WISE Arena four times – before Friday - since Flyers entered the BBL the start of the 2015-16 season and lost all of those encounters. But that hoodoo was broken on Friday when Johnny White's men clawed back a 16-point deficit at the end of the third quarter with a barn-storming display that saw the game finish 88-88 at the end of regular time. Two three-pointers from Raiders' player-coach Daryl Corletto inside the final 20 seconds was decisive as Flyers tried to see the game out at 88-82 ahead. Quote from Brent friends In a scrappy overtime period characterised by fouls and free-throws, Raiders took more of their opportunities from the line to end up 103-98 winners. |

i was there and thats not a true statement if your going by the scoreline alone. the last 10 minutes they lost their concentration stupidly that allowed fylde to score the 2 tries to make the score line a bit closer but Albion where in firm control of the majority of the game and got the bonus point win. |

i dont talk to argyle fans at argyle lol. so in what why did they struggle to see of fylde when they were up by 2 tries from the majority of the game? it was only the last 10 mins when they lost their concentration and they got their two tries after albion got a forth. wouldnt say they made hard work, the win was in the bag the last kick at the end made sure of that. |
