| Just heard brents interview on Radio devon this morning..same old bollocks with his smarmy patter...simon bates with one slighty awkward question..then intervines Sparksey to divert the the question with ive been trying to get simon to come over for a game james nothing like the old directors box expirience & a few prawn sarnies freebies to qwell dissent..but to give it to simon bates at the end of the interview when dear old jim got off the phone he did say to sparksey sounds like schemes gone backwards |

| What a performance from Brent, he's very convincing almost hypnotic in his powers of communication and persuasion.
I can totally understand why he'd be pissed off about being compared to a kiddy fiddler, but it was a very unflattering picture it has to be said. Thankfully he doesnt have a beard n glasses! j/k
On a serious note, he and the board deserve credit for stabilising the club and clearing the debt. I think PAFC owning the ground is the right course to take, however the scale/capacity of the new grandstand worries me. It's all very well laying it on thick about attracting more women n younger fans, and recognising Hull had a 50% increase in attendances after building their new stadium... but where will all the new fans fit? If his ambitions are for a 4.8k max grandstand(17k total). Surely breaking through the 20k capacity barrier should be the minimum standard... this is what my beef with Brent boils down to really. He talks the talk for sure, particularly on infrastructure, but when it comes down to it, his plans and ambition for the new stand were completely half arsed. No complaints from me regarding the rest of his tenure, even his reliance on the useful idiots, if it meant delivering a stand that is appropriate for a club of the stature of PAFC. |

| Given his past record in development, Civic Centre, Oldway, Pavilions, Mini Stand, no-one should believe a word he says. He's going to buy the freehold, he's mindful of the concerns of a lot of the fanbase over what happened last time so he goes on a charm offensive, actually giving interviews and being seen for a change, telling the adoring few to trust in him, big plans for the club etc etc etc.
It's all rubbish, warm words and ambiguity. He has not committed to do anything with the football club, there is no evidence whatsoever to suggest that it's not part of his money making schemes, where he deposits large sums of money without actually paying for anything.
After the freehold is nicely tucked away thank you very much, we won't hear anything from him for some time.
He is no good for this football club, I just wish more people would realise it.
I may have to take to that vile freechat page. |

I may have to take to that vile freechat page. Argyle will be back in administration within a few years, sadly the Toadies will still be backing Green Jimmy though. |
