| Sheridan f**ked him up by forcing him to play against Wycombe in the play offs when he was so clearly injured. |

| I can't see why anybody is miffed at this. He wasn't our player anymore and as a free agent he could go where he liked so why not there? There's no loyalty in football after all so what did he owe us?
I always rated him and we should remember him and the goals he scored for us with affection: 20 goals in 2 seasons is better than most of our strikers have ever managed.
On the other hand his fitness is clearly a problem. That said he's had a few months off and should be rested, healthy and injury-free but having missed pre-season he'll be miles off being match-fit. The gamble Exetrer have taken is whether they can get him fit to play before he gets injured again but that's their problem.
On balance I'd've kept him here though. One day the reasons for his departure will emerge and then we might be able to interpret events rather more accurately than we can now.
It certainly adds a bit of spice to Saturday's game! |

| As to whether Reid is 'match fit' enough to play on Saturday..?
Landon Donovan just came out of an 18 month retirement last week after space and money on the LA Galaxy roster was created by the transfer of Nigel De Jong to Galatasaray just before the deadline.
Donovan trained for three days and made an appearance with ten minutes to go on Sunday. |

| He'll play and score on Saturday. Looking at some of the Exeter fans comments they have been playing really well, dominating games and creating loads of chances. All they were missing is a goal scorer. Now they have one I wouldn't bet against them finishing at least in the play-offs. Anyway, they will easily brush us aside on Saturday. |

| Good luck to him. He's a free agent and can sign for who he likes. Yes, he was probably hoping for a more lucrative contract with a better team but hey ho he has to do what's best for him. |

| Good luck to Reuben, scored a lot of goals at PAFC, and should be thanked for his contribution rather than abused by the same inbred w***ers who gave Holloway all that abuse when he left.
He's doing what is best for his family & career, PAFC had the option to keep him but only offered him a reduced deal. With only Newport and Carlisle seriously interested, he'd have been a fool not to sign for Exeter - Carlisle was too far and Newport cash strapped. If he does well at Exeter and stays fit he could be there for years, become loved by the fans and play for another 5 years or more, it's a great deal for both ECFC and Reid.

It doesn't matter how you dress it up. An Argyle player who turns down a new contract with us and subsequently signs for Exeter - regardless of how desperate his situation has become - is always going to get a hot reception. Rightly so too. That is bog standard for any player signing for their nearest rival. But Greenskin makes a good point. Reids demeanor always gives the impression that he either doesn't give a fcuk, or is totally knackered. If he doesn't get amongst the goals very early on, he'll get dogs abuse based on his history with us. But you just know he'll come off the bench with 20 mins to go and get the winner. |

I wish him well at Exeter, but perhaps I don't hate them much as some PAFC fans do. Agree with you, he'll get some stick and could easily pop up with a goal. After all the abuse he'll enjoy it I'm sure, he's too smart to do any badge kissing though |

| Truth is he hasnt proved his fitness anywere, he's been turned away by a number of other clubs and you get the feeling its an attempt by Exeter to shut the fans up. They are obsessed with him and is complete proof of how bitter and village they are .
He'll probably come on and score against us and do f' all the rest of the season and they'll create a song for him. |

| I'm still quite shocked at how badly wrong this whole saga has gone for Reid. Apart from hearsay, are there any actual reports of him having (and failing) medicals at other clubs? |

| Couldn't give a rat's arse about the Exeter rivalry - it's just another game. Would take our first draw of the season as it's away and to keep momentum going.
As for Reid, am not that surprised he has struggled to find a club - seems clear he is (unfortunately) something of a crock. Agree with the earlier sentiment that Sheridan fecked him by continuing to play him the season before last.
Did he make a mistake turning down Argyle's offer? Who knows but given the difficulty he's had finding somewhere else it would seem Adams knew what he was doing.
He was a very important player for us for a while and scored a lot of goals. Good luck to him. |

| I happen to think that Exeter is the perfect club for Reid to resurrect his career. He was used by both Sheridan and Adams as a battering ram and was more often than not left alone up front. Tidsdale has players closer together which might suit Reids style more. |

| Reid appeared to have his best spell with us when he played with Alessandra up front, so may suit City's style of play better (not sure what formation they play)? Although his last game that I remember him playing well was at Notts County last season when we won 2-0 and he was superb (then was out injured for a few months).
Looks like the Exeter medical must be quite easy to pass given that they re-signed Archibald-Henville over the summer, and he is another who has had massive injury problems.
Very good league 2 player on his day, but his day doesn't come often enough due to his injury problems. Could be a good signing for Exeter, could be another Will Hoskins. |

| Think they need to sign allasndra as well or there rite up shit creek with Reid..its the only time his ever got in double figures in his whole career playing alongside him as most goals came from penaltys that allansdra dived in the box for both seasons so half of ruebens goals were pens and anyway soon as LA left so did reubens career..lol his more likely to be on a pay as you play deal |

| Regarding his fitness and with no game time as yet, I can't see him playing the full 90 minutes on Saturday. He would be knackered if he did play both halfs and out for the next few Easter games no doubt.
Should he come on as a sub late in the match, we must hope that Argyle will be in command of the game and winning by two clear goals by then. Reid can huff and puff all he wants by that time.
They be creaming in their pants over on exeweb. |
