| ARGYLE have made a Deadline Day move to sign Bristol City's Paul-Arnold Garita on loan.
The Cameroon-born forward - known as Arnold, or 'Arnie' - joined City in January 2016 for £50,000 from French club Chateauroux, and has played predominantly for the Robins' under-21 side. He was a 66th minute substitute for Tommy Abraham in City's 1-0 win at Wycombe in the first round of the EFL Cup.
City manager Lee Johnson spoke in pre-season about Garita heading out on loan, indicating that he felt the player would score goals at Sky Bet Leagues One or Two level, and simply needed games to develop as a player.
Derek Adams has now offered Arnold that chance, with a loan deal at Home Park running until January 16, 2017.
Welcome, Arnold. |

| A totally unnecessary signing - another striker is not needed surely..
Louis Rooney is chomping at the bit (& Brunt will be back b4 XMAS?), surely as LR is 5th down the pecking order there's enough cover in the striker positions, what does this lad have to do to get a chance?
Contrast the treatment of Rooney with the way Exeter develop their youngsters, farm them out to Truro or Dorchester for example then give them minutes in first 11, & surround them with experienced pro's, some who have played at the top level. Then sell them on for a 6/7 figure sum (Grimes, Nichols).
What is the point in PAFC having a youth system if they just bring in loanee's from Championship clubs?
I can only hope Purrington gets a few games now Sawyer has an injury - sorry gone a bit off topic

| Best left to Derek to assess whether Rooney's good enough or not, I mean Tyler was supposed to be the saviour and he's struggling to get in Wrexham's team and when he has he's been subbed |

No doubt it's great to see local boys in the team but it's up to the managers' assessment. |

No doubt it's great to see local boys in the team but it's up to the managers' assessment. I'm going with Adams on this one, rather than the armchair managers out there, have seen Rooney a couple of times and he has potential, but hey we don't train with him. |

| Absolutely. Seen the clamour to play "one of our own" time and time again over the years with people like Graves, Pickard, O'Hagan and most recently Harvey [who is not setting the world alight at Wrexham, just as he didn't at Salisbury].If this incoming player makes a critical difference, then it has to be a good signing-there were very few home grown players in some of our previous promotion teams and I can't honestly say that it bothered people too much. Nothing against Rooney at all, hope he has a good career, but DA must be trusted about his future and manangers don't often get it wrong in these circumstances. |
