This more or less ignores common sense completely.

If you want to contact any sort of organisation these days how do you do it?

Except for long-standing well-established exceptions like 999 calls then you Google the company, go to their website and click contact. From there you expect at least to find an email address (whilst probably hoping for a phone number but we are where we are) or possibly an email enabled pro forma for direct contact; if you're dealing with a real savvy outfit there could be a Twitter handle, FB page, Google+ (is that still going?) etc.

Answering a telephone call query verbally is fair enough but not accepting emails, tweets, FB? Utter nonsense no matter what the club might prefer and a surefire way to stoke up resentment.

I thought the most telling inference was the club basically will not accept communications from fans by email, only by phone or quill. But, they will, apparently, in all probability, reply by email. Same old power imbalance in their head.

That's not true. I am currently in contact with someone at the club via email!

Right first email has gone extremely polite asking when the garden beside the Devonport End is going to be cleared and if Brent wont pay for it, I will myself.....
Lets see what come back.
