What a way to treat the players from last season
Experienced Plymouth Albion centre Marc Koteczky has revealed he is turning down the offer of a deal with the National One club.
The Australian, who can also play at fly-half or full-back, said he is considering other options – including pursuing a career outside rugby.
Koteczky, one of the few players who stayed at Albion after they were relegated from the Championship just over a year ago, told Herald Sport that he was offered a 'pay as you play' deal.
The Australian, who has a partner from Plymouth and who lives a short distance from Albion's Brickfields ground, is just celebrating the birth of his son.
He said that he could not afford to live on the terms he was being offered by Albion.
Koteczky said: "I am not signing with Albion – there is no way I can do play and pay.
