| I didn't bother, the consensus other that it being shit was that they shouldn't try to be clarkson, Hammond and may. Those three clearly get on, it looks forced with the others |

He didn't Jethro. It was Clarkson that admitted what he did to the Beeb and that the producer didn't do anything wrong. |

| Jethro, if you think punching a junior, in terms of career power, at work, is fair game, I feel sorry for you. Maybe you need a bit more work experience. You seem to be advocating the law of the jungle. Fine, as long as everyone knows the rules, anything goes, and that idiosyncratic social status won't save folk from what becomes a bicep and madness thing. I myself would probably fare better under the law of the jungle than our present worthwhile attempt at civilisation and community social conscience. |

| the show would have stood a better chance of winning viewers over to the new team presenting if they actually revamped it and made it theirs rather than carbon copy a winning and popular formula of clarkson, hammond and may. Alas it be cancelled next series if they dont start breaking away from the old ways including the stig.
I wont be watching it again not a fan of chris evans at the best of times an matt le blanc is no david schwimmer |

| Tired program, tired old presenters trying to be hip and failing. It's all a guess cos I'd never watch it anyway. |

| Good question. I based my answer on getting bored of the format and presenters about ten years ago, I can't stand Evans he's been shit since DFYT and the early TGIF. It's a shite opinion as they go but it is an opinion. |

| I have hated Evans ever since his radio 1 days. Never watched him on any of his tv shows. _______________________________________ I'm one of the common people so says the wife! | I watched about 5 inutes o it today as soccer ai is an abomination of a aviva wankfest even for a charity event.
Still trying to copy the trio of before the feedback so far is it was better than las weeks but still evans ruins the show. Stalin once said if you remove the man you remove the problem... i wonder if the bbc will remove evans if he continues to drive away viewers. |

| Nah I'm sure that Top Gear is still "great product" for the Beeb to sell. I actually watched 10mimutes of it last night as youngest child is a fan, after ten minutes he declared its not the same as it used to be and turned off, used to be his favourite program. I thought it shite as I knew I would. |

| From the little I watched last week they appear to have just attempted to shoehorn new presenters into the same format which is a mistake imo. Whether you liked Clarkson, May and Hammond or not it's undeniable that the show was a massive global success, partly due to the chemistry between them. I don't think it's fair on the new mob to expect them to be able to recreate that. The producers should've gone back to the drawing board and come up with a completely different motoring show. |

| I thought yesterday's TG was a big improvement on the first one.
And Chris Evans may not be everybody's cup of tea but he is very popular. In the Clarkson & Co days Mrs Drake wouldn't watch TG at all and would as likely as not go and find something else to do if it came on. She likes Evans and listens to him every morning as she gets ready (as do about 10 million others every week - his radio show is the most popular in the country) and now she'll watch TG when it comes on - the point being that it isn't only Evans that will drive viewers away; just because you don't like it it doesn't mean that somebody else won't too.
Whatever they do the Clarkson/May/Hammond fanboys will detest simply because Clarkson/May/Hammond aren't on it. |

| I couldn't stand that trio either, as for the Chris Evans breakfast show I'd rather pour molten lead down my earholes than be subjected to that shite at 6am. Enforced joviality is bad at any time of day. |

Evans is not my preferred option first thing either but for 10m people he is and they aren't forced to listen to him so he is evidently popular. I think Top Gear will move on but it'll do so in increments and in two years time it'll be a very different animal to that with which we are so familiar now. And I think it had to because, and obviously the Clarkson/May/Hammond fanboys will disagree with me here, it had become very dull. It was as if they had run out of ideas about 3 series ago; all that remained was smug self-indulgence and embarassing "banter"; something had to be done. |
