Our season so far has been one of almost relentless struggle. Nothing much has changed there in comparison to the last few years but one thing is different. Penalties.

I haven't checked any stats but it seems to me that we have had more penalties awarded to us this season than we have had in the last 3 years added together.

So why is this the case? Have we actually managed to get the ball in the box more often than in past seasons? Or am I just reading this all wrong?

Probably more ill disciplined and clumsy players in Div 2.

Don't complain, if it wasn't for the penalties our goal difference would be -50 by now! Very Happy

I agree with your point though, we do seem to have had more this season than previous.

I am not complaining at all. Our goals as penalties percentage must be very high indeed. Possibly the highest in the league.

Walton certainly tucks them away very nicely too.

I don't think Walton has missed a penalty in his career yet.

I have seen every single penalty foul this season, they have all been fair. Its strange to actually see them given for us though, as usually we dont get the obvious decisions.

Walton is a very good penalty taker it has to be said.
