Plymouth Airport firm Sutton Harbour Holdings up for sale

n a pre-close announcement and strategic review, ahead of publication of the AIM-listed firm's annual results, SHH announced the "commencement of offer period."

Company directors said SHH has "significant future growth potential", highlighting profitable, well-invested annuity trading activities underpinned by a strong existing asset base and significant potential for further development around the Sutton Harbour.

But the statement said that even with the firm's recent successful refinancing, its potential remains "constrained by its existing capital structure".

The statement said: "As such, the board has determined it is appropriate to evaluate alternative opportunities to maximise value for the company's shareholders and to build on Sutton Harbour's successes to date.

"Accordingly, Rothschild has been appointed to assist with a strategic review of options, which could include a sale of the company."

Shorely a golden opportunity for Brent/Akkeron? The airport land would be just perfick for the new 90,000 capacity theatre of schemes and plenty of room left over for various shite to be built, including the obligatory student 'village' geek

At least Central Park could be saved from the concrete monstrosity filled with various shite that HP/HHP(plus accompanied encroachment into the park) is inevitably destined to become.

There will be some news about the park status soon.

It could mean they've been told the airport is going to happen which has stymied any oppportunity to build loads of houses. Whether the airport re-opens or not is another matter entirely.

They have loads of assets ie land that could be built on but no money to develop it, a common problem it would seem.

The student shite is already there, I've both lived and worked over there. Not sure if 'Brent' hall has quite the same ring to it as 'Coleridge' & 'Cromwell' halls have Smile

There seems to be a trend in Plymouth. Property speculators buy the football club and then think down the line they can have the council and citizens over.
Spent the other evening with an all ears radicalising allotment association, with regard to property development in Central Park. Wonder if I'll get locked up.
