| OK. Why do we need to know this?
So far I am aware of the name of one of the people concerned which immediately gives a second, much more famous, person away. I've no idea who the third is. I think there's a paddling pool filled with olive oil involved.
But I don't wish to know any of this. I don't need to know any of this. It doesn't affect my life in any way shape or form and I don't care about any of this. The names I am aware of are hardly sanctimonious or pious types who boast of their moral rectitude. Far from it. They are not in positions of power and responsibility and the one name I do know is simply famous for being married to somebody very famous. They represent nobody other than themselves. Everybody concerned seems to be adult and consenting. No laws have been broken.
So apart from their eagerness to suppress this story what is the big deal here?
Compare and contrast to our Minister of State where the newspapers shrugged and said "so what?" when there was very obvious scope for skullduggery with wide-ranging implications in all sorts of ways.
This story might (will!) sell newspapers but other than that how is it in the National Interest in any meaningful way for the details to be splashed all over the papers? |

| I can only imagine a few reasons.
1/ he was having a coffee in Starbucks when on the table next to him four ladies started to talk about it. Before he could cover his ears it was out.
2/ he personally knows the celeb involved and is gutted not to be involved
3/ he's googled the LA Times to find the answer.
Any other ideas?
This could be interesting. |

| My 75 year sister told me last week, she heard it from my 77 old sister who lives in Lincoln. With time on my hand last night I log on to the blogger who give the names out on the web.

Was it Virgin, Extra virgin, Premium ? Very lax reporting by your exacting standards. I'm sure if a Tory MP was involved we'd know the brand, use by date & batch number. |

Then how come you do know ? I keep on encountering references to it in various media outlets that I can't avoid. So far I have seen it discussed on the TV, FB, Twitter and now here and I've heard about it on the radio. None of which have I sought out. |

| Oh come on Saint Francis. That's not what I asked.
The names of those involved are not common knowledge in this country.
How did you know the name(s)? |

| I don't do Facebook so don't know how it operates.
it surprises me that others on here, who doubtless are on Facebook, don't seem to know the people involved either. |

| I only know one name. I'm assuming the other because it goes with the one I know like Pinky goes with Perky. I don't know the third at all.
FB operates not unlike a messageboard but with rather more cat videoes except each "thread" (I saw the name on one of these after somebody asked the question "am I the only one who doesn't know who the sleb threesome people are?" and I then found out about 3 replies later) has no title but it also has ads and news feeds that it thinks might be on interest to you.
It's all targeted, see. It's how they (hope to) make their money. |

| Who cares what any old John Dick or Harry do in their spare time? On the other hand they court the press when they want promotion so they have to take rough with smooth. #whogivesafuck |

Red tops are an insult to the intelligence, not that there is much intelligence shared between the readership. |

Red tops are an insult to the intelligence, not that there is much intelligence shared between the readership. It's what is known as a "dead cat". When in trouble and when everybody is talking about something which is harmful to you then you need a distraction. All you have to do is throw a dead cat onto the table and everybody in the room can't help but think and talk of it above eveything else. |

| I don't do facebook, twitter or the television. I'm a pauper. I do a lot of camera/film work though, and in my world a dead cat is a condom for a microphone. I think it may have been Brezhnev/Chernenko ? who said football and rock music was the Western dead cat to keep the populace off the scent. |
