One has to wonder why two trains were on the same platform It's called "permissive block working" where 2 trains are allowed in a Platform at the same time, the second train would have been stopped by the signal in rear which would be showing a red aspect, then it's given a 2 white light "calling on signal", this indicates to the driver that the platform he's running into already has a train in there so he should be proceeding with caution. Not sure why this didn't happen but no doubt the investigation will tease it out |

| He got given the dots and as well as that was actually told (verbally) by the signalman to proceed at caution. Sadly, his version of 'at caution' differs from most of us. |

At least no-one was seriously injured. My view is that the brakes on one of the trains couldn't cope with stopping the train due to weight of passengers. Graiser beh ...... where is Crapstone Lil these days. |

Temple mead platforms have 2 numbers |
