Not really. I'm certain Labour would have done the same.

Anyway... Where's George?

Interestingly they seem to have shelved the cuts to the disabled which leaves a £4bn or so hole in the budget - and they have no plans to recover the money elsewhere.

Which means that the cuts could not have been necessary to start with because if they were before they still would be now. Nothing else has changed.

That means there was never a requirement for this policy and they were cutting the money paid to the disabled just because they could. Or so they thought.

Nice guys these right wingers, aren't they!

"We're all in it together." My arse.

There you go again. Straight in with the personal abuse. No subtlety. No nuance. No class. It adds nothing.

It reflects very badly on you, y'know.

No personal abuse at all, just continuing the cheap, unfunny knob gags, it appears to be all the rage.

You ought to read back through your posts on this thread because it's hard to find one without some sort of a penis reference... You do seem to be a little fixated on penises. They appear to be a pet, recurring theme so I assumed you were fond of the odd penis jibe and thought you'd particularly enjoy this Osborne knob gag.

Awfully sorry if I was mistaken.

Perhaps a few less penis references might help disavow this illusion in the future? Maybe try contributing something a bit more worthwhile? Try it! You might find some sort of enlightenment if you do.

Illusion is exactly what it is although I suspect allusion was the word you were searching for, do enlighten me with a pie chart or something Sleep

This entire thread is cock and bull. The op was particularly juvenile and it's continued in that vein ever since. I'll do my best to keep it on track.

I see the press are now trying to turn on Corbyn, because he didn't do the "schadenfreude" thing on Osborne. Unbelievable.

What is unbelievable is that in a week where this pathetic government should be hung, drawn and quartered by the Labour Party, a document appears, allegedly set out by Corbyn's political secretary, revealing the enemies within.

It seems the opposition party are more concerned with which of their members are pro Corbyn or anti Corbyn.

This country is bankrupt. Financially, politically and morally.

I think the media are more concerned. It's not really news at all, but cant disagree with the last statement.

What it did was present this slippery Prime Minister an open goal at PMQ's.

He should have been nailed but Corbyn can't even command his own party leave alone hammer Cameron.

Next time you hear Osborne rattling on about the deficit bear this in mind.

Seeing that Scotland is part of the UK....how has the Uk figure been decided....with or without Scotland being included ?.....the use of the term UK suggests that it includes....England, Wales, N Ireland and Scotland.......which is it with or without ?

Dunno.

Go to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and find out for yourself.

Those figures are as a %age proportion of GDP though so the actual cash amount might not be that big in comparison to the UK cash amount so if Scotland is included in the UK figure it'd only be a small part and if not it'd only make a small difference.

It's interesting to see how indebted we are compared to everybody else though, isn't it? To listen to this government you'd think we were rock bottom when, in fact, we are far from it.
