Domestically, Crystal Palace 4-3 Liverpool in the 89/90 FA Cup Semi was great for drama. Liverpool were still pretty dominant back then and had tonked Palace 9-0 in the league earlier that season. The FA Cup was still massive then too and it stopped Liverpool from going for the Double - which was also still pretty magical at the time.

And the other semi! Utd 3-3 Oldham

Plus - I was young, carefree, had fully discovered beer and girls. It was an altogether rosier prism for looking at life, including football.
