| There's been a few over the years to be fair. Some Argyle fans have never recovered from seeing the legendary Jim Beglin in "action" and the great Phil Starbuck also made a strong bid for WOAT. Phil Barber, Tom somebody, Craig somebody, Kevin somebody,Adam somebody...the list of duffers is a fairly long one, this guy doesn't seem to be on the way to breaking the mould.Does make you wonder why Del signed him-budgetary reasons probably,Northampton signed Collins and it sure hasn't done them much harm. |

only for a month i believe wasnt as good as his newcastle days He was down here when Shilton was manager and in the process of getting us relegated to the fourth division for the first time ever. He wasn't bad actually but he was ,shall we say, carrying a bit of excess at that stage of his career and didn't make a great impact [except on the ground beneath him]. |

| When Micky Quinn was here we beat Wrexham 4-0. Nothing that remarkable in the scoreline but it was a very foggy day. That wasn't very remarkable either. What was remarkable was that a Wrexham player scored two own goals. One was a diving header from about 20 yards and the other was as sweet a back post volley as you could ever wish to see. On both occasions he was under next to no pressure whatsoever. Stunners the pair of them; by far the best own goals I have ever seen.
I'll never forget the stick he got at Pompey. They were on a long unbeaten run at the time and he'd just come out of jail; it was utterly relentless. Summerfield got our goal.

I think Shilton got him down here to help him out with some horse racing tips rather than as a serious addition to the squad. |

| Oh, I doubt that very much Tiger.
Jimmy doesn't do listening. He plots medium term profitable squatting graphs. It's what he does. |

| I know there's a near obsession amongst Argyle fans with bringing back ex-players but I can't help but think that the 2 players we could really do with now are Anthony O'Connor and Lewis Alessandra.
Alessandra has barely had a kick at Rochdale and has only featured 11 times this season (8 of them as sub) and O'Connor has featured 23 times (coincidentally 8 of them as sub too).
Obviously neither is playing regular 1st team football... We could do far worse. |

Obviously neither is playing regular 1st team football... We could do far worse. Both left because they wouldn't commit to this part of the world due to family commitments. Doubt either would seek a temp move back here no matter there situations. Alessandra would have been handy though in truth he always managed to help reuben find his dancing shoes on the pitch. |
