Some wild talk on Twitter suggesting that Trump might be about to quit.

Or be replaced.

Have to say that seems like being on the wild side of unlikely to me and a legal/constitutional bombshell for the GOP.

I'm sure its part of a ruse to make sure the Rothschilds get their person in the Whitehouse, making Clinton look moderate

I find America and Americans so detached from reality that it's almost like their lives are on a stage.

They have no idea what goes on in other parts of the world and care even less. Tinseltown and Disneyworld just about sums up that detachment.

Proof if needed is the election victories of Arnold and Clint. Even Reagan. These are actors for Christ sake, that's all.

They hero worship someone like John Wayne, who conveniently couldn't fight in the war only on the screen.

OJ and Michael Jackson are acquitted when evidence suggests different.

Bush junior is elected by fiddling the Florida vote.

And for all the supposed threats of Russia and North Korea, who is the only country to actually drop the Atom Bomb?

Putting all sparring aside for a moment if you have never heard Ani Difranco's poem Self-Evident then give it a listen.

Don't be put off by the awfulness of the "90% metaphor" opening. It's quite a thing.

"Grab them by the pussy." - Donald Trump

Looks like the end of the line for The Donald.

It's not just lefties that are outraged this time:

"Make no mistake the comments were wrong and offensive. They are indefensible." - John Kasich

"Hitting on married women? Condoning assault? Such vile degradations demean our wives and daughters and corrupt America's face to the world." - Mitt Romney

"As the grandfather of two precious girls, I find that no apology can excuse away Donald Trump's reprehensible comments degrading women." - Jeb Bush

Could be an unprecedented clean sweep of all 50 states for HRC if he doesn't withdraw.

LOL..

Nobody really gives a feck.  Faux Political outrage being used for point scoring.

Everyday, rappers sing about "banging the bitch" and are abusive to women in song and video and not a word is said!

I doubt Trump will be president, but it will be close.

Rappers aren't running for President and heavily reliant on bible bashers, the pious or extolling down home good ol' fashioned values for their votes though, are they? They are altogether different things barely worthy of conflating

Trump would also require quite a few female votes to be elected and I can't see this helping him in any way at all to land them.

Apart from middle-aged white men I don't think there's a voter group left for him to offend.

Trump does not have the smartest of tongues and only he can (will) lose this campaign to become president. I feel sorry for the yanks as they have got two of the worst presidential candidates in recent times.

Tomorrow night sees the second debate between Trump and Clinton. He has said he will be more on the attack. Should be an interesting event.

You again miss the point...

What you don't seem to understand is nobody but a few point scoring politictions and a few liberals - the sort who reads the the Guardian - actually gives two tosses. Most people realize this sort of speech is a common in modern day society. You know the one... Where women are called bitches and hoes. ...and that's by other women.

Look at the guy who Trump is talking with, he's not in the slightest offended at the time. In fact, he seems to find Trumps words funny. Only now that he is also being called out, is he 'offended' about Trumps and his own behaviour.

Yes, I am.  But for the first time in three elections, I won't be casting a vote for President.

There is however, (starting on page 10)  a lot more to vote for...

Trump seems to on one with his latest stunt.

Donald Trump retweets far-right group's videos

Donald Trump has retweeted three inflammatory videos from a British far-right group.

The first tweet from Jayda Fransen, the deputy leader of Britain First, claims to show a Muslim migrant attacking a man on crutches.

This was followed by two more videos of people Ms Fransen claims to be Muslim.
Britain First was founded in 2011 by former members of the far-right British National Party (BNP).
The group has grabbed attention on social media with controversial posts about what they deem "the Islamification of the UK".

The Muslim Council for Britain called on the UK government to "distance" itself from the comments.

"This is the clearest endorsement yet from the US president of the far-right and their vile anti-Muslim propaganda," a spokeswoman said.

Moving on to North Korea and Kim Jung Young Un. It seems they are once again spouting claims that they have the technology for missiles to reach mainland USA.

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

The US administration have spoken on this and with The Don saying they will take care of it, what does he really mean with that comment. On the news last night they said there is not much they can do, other than lean on China harder, add more sanctions to North Korea or go to war with Kim Jung Young Un and risk upsetting both Russia and China in the process. Some commentators have said that a conflict in the region could rapidly spread out.

BTW I missed all the teeth knashing on here whilst it was all going on but pissed myself laughing as I picked up another big wedge from the bookies (first Brexit then Trump) netted me a couple of grand. Nobody could understand how an ignorant loon like Trump could win but it was feckin hilarious argument when you only had to look at the other option Hilary Clinton. I think her whole campaign was run on the lines of being friends with Bruce Springstein. Razz
We're all going to hell in a hand cart anyway so you might as well have a larf whilst we do it.

On a sort of related theme, I see today even Garrison Keillor of Lake Wobegon fame has been shown the door with the ongoing long overdue trashing of bullies and sexual predators in the work place. It still seems to be the vast majority of problems are in the  media industry, with very few in the business community being fingered, which we all know is probably unrepresentative of life. This sort of thing has gone on for ever from the Boy Scouts, the church choir, right up to the bars of Westminster and the LSE. Huge cultural and political shifts going on, bigger than the witch hunts, and could go down a Stalin authoritarian route, such as Trump, could go the other way, who knows. Is it a real sign of increasing personal democracy or a return to puritan values of hundreds of years ago ? Fascinating, and a another huge shift almost entirely due to the internet revolution.
There was a time when I quite liked keillor's radio show repeats on radio4, an acquired taste that took a while, and unusual resonant voice. Wouldnt have been my bag as a youngster. They almost made me think America was a real place that actually existed, and  with a certain sort of pathos. So where does Rickler really live ?
I suppose these repeats will now be wiped clean and never to be repeated a la Saville. Fascinating to actually live in the times of actual real-time rewriting of history, and the first active blanket example of newspeak happening all around me. An insight perhaps to how people lived behind the iron curtain, and post war Japan. Ho hum, lovely day today at Kit hill, if one ignored all the scaffolding and cranes.
