I wonder what excuse we'll get from JB re the grandstand, once this season is over? If we go up, great!! if we stay down - meh!! But what ever happens, JB won't have the current convenient distraction of a promotion push to ignore concerns about out illusive new grandstand!!

Or, as said above, people are so pissed off with it all, they don't care about a new grandstand anymore, and so JB will let the issue rumble on for years as long as no-one is really kicking up a fuss.

What a sorry old mess.

There's always good reason not to build a grandstand.

Right now we don't need one because we don't sell the seats we have. This remains the excuse for as long as facts support it.

Once we do sell all the seats we have we can't afford to lose the capacity we already have because turning people away is bad business. Can't be helped, of course, but we don't want to make things worse, do we?

Once crowds drop off again and there's a few spare seats: Crowds haven't held up despite our recent success. You have to wonder whether the people of Plymouth will ever support their team. Plymouth isn't a football city like...

Gooooooooooooooool Jervis!

Plymouth's perennially parochial and visionless council, along with the hardcore Janner [seaside yokel] Argyle supporters, continue to contribute to the cycle of failure.
These supporters will agree with anything in order to get close to the club and be recognisable. In return the chosen ones act as cheerleaders for the dimwitted Aviva masses.
Case in point being the cheap and nasty failed HHP development, which would have only profited one man and boxed the club into being strictly lower league for generations to come.

I now really dislike what the club stands for in its current guise. Not only is it doomed to failure but it's embarrassing in the extreme. The only bright spot is the current manager but as for how long he'll stay...........................

The club certainly is an embarrassment, and the cycle of failure will only continue at this rate.
Still at least that ghastly mini-stand never got built, which would have basically led to a terminal self imposed and wilful cycle of failure and underachievement.
Whats the chances of Jimmy foxtrotting oscar without seperating the club & stadium? Even his sycophantic arselicking self-promoting sociopathic inbred bumchums won't stand for that surely?

Live from the corporate governance bullshit...............

'John Lloyd Question from AFT - freehold buyback option, will you be exercising it? Brent - suggests that the club would be better off if it did own the ground, but no decisions have been made on this.

Tim Chown Hmm, with 6 months until his chance to exercise the option (and test it against the ACV) and £1.6m(ish) needed, you'd think the ducks would be in a row by now....'

Just waiting for the right time/buyer to arrive, then cash in ?
