| It does make you wonder.
We've lost Cox and Bentley and gained Forster and Nardiello. If Boateng doesn't return then the both squad and the 1st XI is undeniably weaker than it was. (Smalley hardly makes much difference given his injury status but he's another leaver.)
At a time when a 5 point lead at the top of the table has vanished and form, at home (in no small part due to the state of the pitch) at least, is shakey. Not long ago we were nailed on for promtion and now, although probably still amongst the faves, going up looks far less likely than it did.
It can't be financial restraint that is holding us back because crowds are around 1000 per game up on last season and we have the Joe Mason windfall. If now isn't the time to bring players in then when is? |

| David Brent: There's good news and there's bad news
Sorry to say, we're not investing in the team this transfer window
And the Good news ?
I'm headed toward a handsome profit this year. |

Top scorer Hamster, not our best or most important player. The money can easily be seen in the depth of our squad, we have a very decent one by 4th div standards and I can see us going on a bit of a run should they all stay fit, the only real weakness is that Tisdale doesn't do defenders and has a penchant for aging gimps. |

Depth don't mean shit without goals and you've sold them, surprised tbh, no way will you get playoffs now. |

| And like I've said before if it's bad for us it's bad for the oppos, and we play it more than they do, how can that be a disadvantage? |

| This is all a bit depressing.
Brent has ignored all efforts to make him deliver on the favourable building contracts he had secured.
The one visible asset, Home Park, is coming apart at the seams and is in a desperate state.
It's one thing to not start a project but for Christ sake at least maintain the one you do possess.
The Grandstand, the administration areas, the turnstiles, the concourse and the toilets are not fit for purpose.
The Horseshoe is rusting and the Mayflower terrace shut. The pitch is a disgrace.
And yet the average crowd attendances is up.
Northampton, Oxford and Pompey have all signed players from higher leagues today. We sign no one.
Where is the money going? |

| For a club that wants to go up our buisness in january proves we have an owner who clearly doesnt.
2 unfit loan signings, Threlkeld renewed only till 9th April meaning he will miss the vital part of the season. At least we had sense to renew Tanners till the end of the season no strings attached which is a plus.
We let our only other central midfield go without bringing in a replacement which leaves us very short in that area and with Threlkeld going on april 9th as stated before we will be even shorter. We now get told we have to look forward to emergency loan signings which as we saw last season disrupts the squad too much having them come and go.
all this and thats without mentioning all the other promotion chasing sides and play off hopefulls have actually strengthen in depth and competition aswell.
but dont worry because the club are picking up awards at the plymouth herald awards #lookhowfarwevecome #stripesareback |

| Was hoping for Boateng tonight, but other than a quality centre mid (which was always coming in on loan anyway, and could be sorted next week) what were we expecting?
We have cover in pretty much all the positions now. Forster brings a quality option to the right side of defence, and Nardiello is a striker who is known for scoring promotion chasing goals. Two smart deals DA took care of days/weeks ago.
We just need a quality centre midfielder, and DA seems to be holding out for Boateng. Not worth splitting your wrists over folks. |

This geezer walks in a manager about 8 months ago, takes charge, gets momentum going, makes some very good signings and now we are 2nd with a 9 point gap to 4th place. Carey is back .. ish and Simpson is showing more promise. In my view DA is doing OK and if he hasn't brought anyone in that's OK by me. But then most of you lot have one agenda which is to castigate JB at any opportunity. Clearly DA has some funds and clearly he will use them in the emergency loan window. Its so clear it fecking see through. |

| If you stretch back to 5th place Accrington are 11 points behind us with 4 games in hand.
Oxford in 3rd place are 5 points behind us with 2 games in hand.
If everybody maxes out we're no longer in an automatic promotion spot.
Admittedly we have the points and are yet to get them but we've gone from being dominant to not being dominant in quite a short period of time.
