Will Argyle two new players take a playing part in this Saturday game, a warm welcome to Daniel Nardiello
Argyle Community Trust
THIS Saturday’s game at Home Park will provide another busy day for Argyle Community Trust staff, as our Match-Day Magic promotion is again fully booked.
Youth Football Clubs from west of the Tamar are joining us for the visit of Wycombe, as we welcome Helston Harriers, St Dennis YFC and Liskeard Junior FC.
The day will start with a welcome, a brief talk on the history of the club and a Stadium tour. This is followed by a coaching session for the children in the adjacent Life Centre and then a buffet for everyone at the same venue.
Finally, the groups are escorted to our award-winning Family Stand, where there are activities for the youngsters to enjoy prior to the game and also at half time.
Hopefully, they will have witnessed another three points for the lads in Green and will become regular supporters in years to come.
This week e mail from Home Park
Argyle v Wycombe. Saturday, 3pm. Be There.
THE Last time Argyle played Wycombe in our own back yard, we saw one of the most spectacular scenes in Home Park history.
The Pilgrims were 2-0 down at half-time and lost a third goal shortly after, and were seemingly dead and buried in the Sky Bet League 2 play-offs.
Until the Green Army got involved.
A season-high crowd of 14,175 could have folded and away walked away, but they raised their voices and buoyed their side to keep the play-off push alive.
To the tune of the late Bob Marley’s Three Little Birds, the Home Park chorus raised the boys in green. As the Theatre of Greens was illuminated by mobile phone lights resembling a swarm of fireflies, Zak Ansah and Jason Banton scored to reignite the embers of our spirits.
In the end, it was not to be. But nothing will ever erase the memory of that special scene, as the players were galvanised by their fans’ passion and belief.
This season a re-energised Argyle, under the leadership of Derek Adams, are looking to avoid the trouble of the play-offs this time. They have sailed towards the summit of League 2, and can go back to the top with a win over Wycombe on Saturday.
The ghost of the Chairboys has already been laid, with a superb 2-1 win at Adams Park earlier in the season thanks to goals by Reuben Reid and Jake Jervis.
It is now time to do the business at home, and we need the Green Army at full cry to help us succeed.
You do not need to have a smartphone. You do not need to know the lyrics to Bob Marley songs. But by being there, staying positive and roaring for our boys, you CAN make a difference. Trust us – they have said so.
See you Saturday. Green Army! |

| Wycombe will return to Home Park for the first time since the League Two play-off semi-final first leg against Argyle in May.
Wycombe won that game 3-2 and went on to secure a 5-3 aggregate success before losing to Southend United on penalties in the final at Wembley.
Wanderers were having another good season in 2015/16 until they lost their last three league games, which has seen them slip to ninth position in the table.
Argyle will be aiming to complete the double over them after beating them 2-1 at Adams Park in September with goals from Reuben Reid and Jake Jervis.
Adams said: "It will be a tough game. Wycombe are a team that like to get the ball forward to their front players very quickly and play from there.
"We know we have got to deal with that kind of challenge. We have done that very well a number of times this season."
Adams continued: "I thought we were excellent in the game we played there (at Adams Park).
"In the first half we probably could have been out of sight. Yes, in the second half, they knocked balls into the penalty area but I thought it was a very good performance from us."
Argyle striker Tyler Harvey has been ruled out of the game against Wycombe because of an ankle injury, but otherwise Adams has a fully fit squad, including recent loan signings Jordon Forster and Daniel Nardiello.
"We have got good options and good competition for places now," said the Pilgrims' boss. |

| Paris Cowan-Hall will return to Home Park for the first time on Saturday since leaving the club in 2013.
The 25-year-old will be part of Wycombe's squad after re-signing on loan for them from Millwall last week.
Cowan-Hall was a second half substitute for the injured Paul Hayes in a 2-0 home defeat by Leyton Orient on Saturday.
Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth believes Cowan-Hall, who previously spent 18 months at Adams Park until moving to Millwall last January will be a major asset.
Ainsworth said: "His energy, his pace and his power will be a real thorn in the side of defenders in League Two.
"He moved away from League Two because he is better than League Two and I think he is a great addition to the squad."
"He played in all those positions when he was here last season and scored some good goals from those positions.
"I think that he is going to be an exciting player for us."
Wycombe's new first choice goalkeeper is 20-year-old Alex Lynch after the transfer of Matt

| All you need to know about the meeting with Plymouth at Home Park this Saturday
The Chairboys almost always win in Devon - but another victory in the county on Saturday would probably be the best yet as Gareth Ainsworth's men hunt a morale-boosting result against one of the promotion front-runners.
Ten of the eleven games played in Devon during Ainsworth's reign have ended in away wins, with a 2-1 setback at Exeter last season being the only blot on the copybook.
The record was put straight in style in the play-offs last May when Wanderers raced into a three-goal lead at Plymouth only for two late goals for the Pilgrims to set up a tense second leg, which ended 2-1 in Wycombe's favour.
The Pilgrims reacted to their play-off heartache by parting ways with manager John Sheridan and the new boss - Scotsman Derek Adams - has presided over a spectacular first half of the season in which Argyle have collected precisely two points per game to sit second in the table behind leaders Northampton.
One of their early triumphs came at Adams Park in September when they recorded a 2-1 win with all the goals coming in the first half, although the headlines were made for Adams' reluctance to allow the game to go ahead with Wanderers wearing their GPS trackers beneath their shirts.
Plymouth have lost just once in seven games and could hand a debut to new signing Daniel Nardiello in attack, while for Wycombe, they'll look to end a run of three straight defeats and could give a first start to Paris Cowan-Hall against his former club, having rejoined the Blues on loan from Millwall last week.

| Less than eight thousand at Homepark today, no one believes Brent will deliver anything long term to the club with his short term loans only policy, and the outragous twenty two quid charge for the casual fan. |

I was thinking of going but now really can't be arsed. In the event that we do get promoted (still fairly unlikely IMO) we have absolutely no strategy for staying in L1 under brent let alone pushing on back to the Championship. |
