COUNCIL planners are to inspect a rural campsite amid reports that it has become a venue for regular sex parties.

Locals have voiced concerns about Gems Campsite after a website described it as a venue for "alternative lifestyle adult campers only - not naturists".

The site advertises private house parties with facilities including an orgy room, dungeon room and fetish room, complete with spanking bench and smother box.

A council spokesman said: "Officers from our planning department will be visiting the site over the next few weeks to ascertain whether there are any planning issues."

Jan and Harry Copplestone run the campsite in the garden of their detached house, just off the A303 outside West Camel in deepest Somerset.

They bought the derelict property 20 years ago and have restored it to its former glory and now it hosts twice-weekly parties

The last thing i heard of this place was that it was visited by gentlemen of an older vintage (lemons were mentioned)

What's the postcode for this place? I've typed 'gems campsite' into my sat nav but it's not working.
