| Sad day. Many of Jimmy Hill's innovations and ideas were way ahead of their time and shaped the modern game as it is today - 3 points for a win was a masterstroke. As a kid in the 70s no Saturday night was complete without Jimmy Hill and MoTD. RIP |

| He was also heavily involved in the negotiations for the abolition of the maximum wage and had a very successful spell as manager of Coventry, taking them into the top flight for the first time and eventually laying the groundwork for Highfield Road to become the first all seater stadium in the country-his ideas were not universally popular and he could be a controversial figure but was always newsworthy and interesting.
RIP Jimmy |

| Jimmy was somebody that enhanced football, in stark contrast to the corruption at FIFA. Never see his like again. Thanks Jimmy for being inspired with a love of football by yourself and the likes of Besty, Dennis Law and Jimmy Greaves. |

| A lot of the feckers that have "graced" the HP turf in the last few years didn't deserve more than 50 quid a week.
That said, Jimmy Hill achieved an awful lot RIP |

| Mr Football. Sad that he's gone.
Also immortalised as an 80's playground taunt for saying you didn't believe something said by someone else:

Wasn't aware of the bluer definition further down that link though!
